Al Hijaz Railway
Al Hijaz Railway heading out of Damascus south. This was recorded, on a private excursion, about 1 hour south of Damascus, but as the train only goes at about 30km/h max, it can't have been very far!

Lajat
Al-Lajat is a region located in southern Syria east of the Jordan River, on an island of rock which was approximately 20 miles by 30 miles, and rose 20 or 30 feet above the table-land of Bashan. The region is known by several names. Historically it was known as Argob, and in the Bible it is called Trachonitis. In addition, it's modern-day title has multiple spellings in English, including Lajat, Lejat and Lajah and El-Leja.
