Wengernalp railway
The Wengernalp railway is a 19.091 kilometres long, 800 gauge rack railway line in Switzerland, which runs from Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald (two branches) to Kleine Scheidegg, making it the world's longest continuous rack and pinion railway. At Kleine Scheidegg passengers transfer to the Jungfraubahn for the continuation of the journey to the highest railway station in Europe at Jungfraujoch.

The Jungfrau Marathon is one of the best known mountain marathons in the world, in full view of the famous Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains in the Bernese Oberland area of the Swiss Alps. The first Jungfrau Marathon was held in 1993. Approximately 3,500 runners from 35 different nations participate. The Jungfrau Marathon takes place each year in September.
Kleine Scheidegg railway station
Kleine Scheidegg is a railway station that serves the mountain pass of Kleine Scheidegg in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. The pass houses a complex of hotels and railway buildings. Administratively, the station is in the municipality of Lauterbrunnen in the canton of Bern. The station is on the Wengernalpbahn (WAB), whose trains operate to Kleine Scheidegg from Lauterbrunnen via Wengen, and separately from Grindelwald.
Sphinx Observatory
The Sphinx Observatory is an astronomical observatory located on Jungfraujoch in Switzerland. The mountain top has been tunneled to fit an elevator which ascends to the observatory from the Jungfraujoch train station, the highest such rail station in Europe, and a nearby Ice Palace. Adjacent to the observatory is an open viewing deck accessible to the public. The deck offers views of the Jungfrau, Monch, and Eiger peaks, all within a few kilometres.
Eiger Glacier
The Eiger Glacier is a glacier situated on the north-west side of the Eiger in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland. The glacier is within the municipality of Lauterbrunnen in the canton of Bern. In 1973 it had an area of 2.13 km, and a length of 2.6 km . By 2005 its length had reduced to 2.5 km.
Eigerjoch
The Eigerjoch is a high Alpine pass lying between the Mönch (south) and the Eiger (north). The lowest point (3,614 m) on the ridge is named Nördliches Eigerjoch while another pass (3,747 m) located closer to the Mönch is named Südliches Eigerjoch.
Jungfraujoch radio relay station
The Jungfraujoch radio relay station is a microwave radio relay station operated by Swisscom atop the Jungfraujoch, the mountain ridge between Mönch and Jungfrau, in the Swiss Alps. At an altitude of 3,705 meters above sea level, it is Europe's highest radio relay station. Built in 1954, it was the first radio station to allow radio relay connections across the Alps. It has been used to transmit telephone and TV signals, and connected Germany with Italy in the international radio relay network.
