Bern
The city of Bern or Berne is the Bundesstadt of Switzerland, and, with (as of December 2011) a population of 125,681, the fifth most populous city in Switzerland. The Bern agglomeration, which includes 43 municipalities, has a population of 353,300. The metropolitan area had a population of 660,000 in 2000. Bern is also the capital of the Canton of Bern, the second most populous of Switzerland's cantons.
Bern railway station
Bern railway station serves the municipality of Bern, the capital city of Switzerland. Opened progressively between 1858 and 1860, and rebuilt several times since then, it forms part of the the Olten–Lausanne line (known as the Mittellandlinie in German) and is near the end of the Lötschberg line. The station is owned by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB-CFF-FFS).
University of Bern
The University of Bern is a university in the Swiss capital of Bern and was founded in 1834. It is regulated and financed by the Canton of Bern. It is a comprehensive university offering a broad choice of courses and programmes in eight faculties and some 160 institutes. The university is an international leader in certain fields of research, such as space research. Teaching and research activities are conducted on an interdisciplinary basis.
Circuit Bremgarten
The Circuit Bremgarten was a 7.28 km (4.524-mi) motorsport race track in Bern, Switzerland which formerly hosted the Formula One Swiss Grand Prix and the Swiss motorcycle Grand Prix. Bremgarten was built as a motorcycle racing track in 1931 in the Bremgartenwald (Bremgarten forest) in the north of Bern. The circuit itself had no true straight, instead being a collection of high-speed corners. It hosted its first automobile race in 1934, which claimed the life of driver Hugh Hamilton.
Swiss coordinate system
The Swiss coordinate system (or Swiss grid) is a geographic coordinate system used in Switzerland for maps and surveying by the Swiss Federal Office of Topography. The map projection used is Oblique Mercator on an 1841 Bessel ellipsoid. The geodetic datum CH1903 uses as fundamental point the old observatory of Bern, the current location of the Institut für exakte Wissenschaften of the University of Bern.

World Trade Institute
The World Trade Institute (WTI) is a center of advanced studies of the University of Bern. It is located in Berne, Switzerland and directed by Professor Thomas Cottier. The institute was founded in 1999 by the Universities of Bern, Fribourg and Neuchâtel within the framework of the BeNeFri convention, which calls for closer cooperation between the three universities of the Swiss Mittelland.
Christoffelturm
The Christoffelturm was a tower built between the years 1344 and 1346. It was located in the old part of the Swiss city of Bern, in the upper section of Spitalgasse, near Holy Spirit Church. After a political decision on December 15, 1864, the Christoffelturm was removed by Gottlieb Ott, a Swiss building contractor. Ott began the destruction of the tower in spring of the following year.

The Westside Shopping and Leisure Centre, on the outskirts of Bern, Switzerland, is a multi-use facility with shops, restaurants, a swimming pool, conference spaces, residences, a hotel, fitness centres, and a cinema. It was designed by international architect Daniel Libeskind and completed in October 2008.
Inselspital
The Inselspital, officially the Bern University Hospital, is the university hospital of Berne, Switzerland, and one of the country's leading hospitals. The hospital is operated by a charitable foundation established in 1354 through the will of Anna Seiler, a wealthy Bernese. It acquired its current name in 1531 when it occupied the buildings of the "St. Michaels Insel" convent. From 1841 on, it has participated in the training of medical students.
Halen Estate
The Halen Estate (Siedlung Halen) is a housing development near Berne, Switzerland. It was designed and built by the Atelier 5 architectural partnership from 1957–1961. Located in a wooded area north of the city, the development is an important example of 20th century Modernist architecture, and as such is listed on the Inventory of Swiss Heritage Sites.
Bümpliz-Oberbottigen
Bümpliz-Oberbottigen is a Stadtteil (district) of the city of Bern, Switzerland. It is situated to the west of the city center and consists of the Quartiere (quarters) Bümpliz, Oberbottigen, Stöckacker, Bethlehem and Brünnen. As the most recently developed district of Bern, Bümpliz-Oberbottigen is an amalgamation of Bümpliz, a formerly independent suburban municipality, with rural hamlets such as Oberbottigen and Riedbach and modern highrise housing developments.
Bernese Mittelland
The Bernese Mittelland (Bern-Mittelland) is the part of the canton of Berne situated in the Swiss Plateau. Beginning in 2010, it is one of the canton's five administrative divisions. It has a population of 380,000 (2005 estimate) in 101 municipalities (including the city of Bern itself), comprising an area of 945 km².
Stadion Neufeld
Stadion Neufeld is a multi-use stadium in Berne, Switzerland. It is the home ground of FC Bern and the junior team of BSC Young Boys. The capacity of the stadium is 14,000 spectators, including 3000 seats. BSC Young Boys used the stadium from 2001/02 to 2004/05, during the construction of Stade de Suisse. It would also host the 1954 European Championships in Athletics.

The Church of the Holy Ghost is a Swiss Reformed Church in Bern, Switzerland. The Swiss heritage site of national significance building is located at Spitalgasse 44 in the Old City of Bern. It is one of largest Swiss Reformed churches in Switzerland.

The Bahnhofplatz (Train Station Plaza) is a plaza in the Old City of Bern, the medieval city center of Bern, Switzerland. It was built following the destruction of the Christoffelturm which had been part of the third city wall. It is located north of Bubenbergplatz and surrounds the Heiliggeistkirche and Bern's central train station. It is part of the UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site that encompasses the Old City.

It is part of the area outside the third city walls. It is located south-west of Bahnhofplatz and is part of the UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site that encompasses the Old City.
St. Paul's Church, Bern
St. Paul's Church is a Swiss Reformed Church in Bern, Switzerland built by Swiss architect Karl Moser from 1902 to 1905 in an Art Nouveau style. It a cultural property of national significance in Switzerland and one of the best examples of Art Nouveau in the country. The bell tower is 36 m high and contains 5 bells. The facade of the church features a relief sculpture with a representation of the Apostle Paul with a sword. The stained glass windows are by the artist Max Laeuger from Lörrach.

The Institute of Cell Biology is a research institute located in Bern, Switzerland. It is part of the Department of Biology of the Science Faculty of the University of Bern. Its research covers a broad range of molecular and cell biology topics, including RNA biology, molecular parasitology, neuroscience and developmental biology. The institute is also involved in teaching at the Bachelor, Master and PhD levels.
