Royal Portrush Golf Club

Royal Portrush Golf Club is a private golf club in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The 36-hole club has two links courses, the Dunluce Links and the Valley Links. In 1951, Royal Portrush hosted The Open Championship, the oldest of golf's major championships. Up to 2011, it is the only Open to be held outside of the main island of Great Britain. Royal Portrush hosted the Irish Open in 2012. The Dunluce Links course is considered to be one of the best courses in the world.

Dhu Varren railway station

Dhu Varren is a railway halt in the townland of Glenmanus at the western edge of Portrush in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is an unstaffed halt on the Coleraine-Portrush railway line, less than a mile from the terminus, with a single platform. It was opened on 10 February 1969 mainly to cater for travel to the station at Coleraine University. It has a surviving "somersault" type semaphore signal.

Lush!

Lush! is a night club in Portrush, Northern Ireland. Located in the Kellys Golf Links Hotel, the club is the largest in the complex, which houses a number of bars. Opened in 1996, it has played host to the majority of the worlds notable electronic dance music DJs, including Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Sasha, Ferry Corsten, Fat Boy Slim and Eddie Halliwell.

Barry's Amusements

Barry's Amusements is the largest theme park in Northern Ireland and also the largest on the island of Ireland. It is situated in the centre of Portrush on the north coast. It is a popular family attraction for visitors to the area. In 1925, traveling members of the Chipperfield and Trufelli circus families were invited by the local railway company to permanently locate in Portrush on a site beside the railway station. The name 'Barry's' is based on an early supplier (Barr).

The Skerries, Northern Ireland

The Skerries are a small group of rocks just off Portrush on the north coast of Northern Ireland. The temperature of the Skerries during the summer months is warmer than other parts of Northern Ireland, and so the rocks are home to particularly interesting fauna; it is the only place many southern species such as the cotton spinner sea cucumber Holothuria forskali are found in Northern Ireland.

Mather's Cross

Mather's Cross in County Antrim, Northern Ireland is a road junction situated on the primary A29 Portrush to Coleraine road and the tertiary Islandtasserty road and Atlantic road used for the North West 200 motor-cycle races since 1929. This section of the A29 Portrush to Coleraine road has been part of the North West 200 (Portstewart-Coleraine-Portrush) 'Triangle' circuit from 1929 and Mather's Cross is the highest point of the course at 47 metres (155 ft) above sea level.
