Konin is a city in central Poland, on the Warta River. It is the capital of Konin County and is located within the Greater Poland Voivodeship. Prior to 1999, it was the capital of the Konin Voivodeship (1975–1998). In 2006, the population was 81,233.

Konin railway station
Konin railway station is a railway station in Konin, Poland. As of 2012, it is served by Przewozy Regionalne (local and InterRegio services), PKP Intercity (TLK services), and international services. The original station building, designed by Romuald Miller, was a two-wing construction modelled on a Polish gentry house. Miller designed similar buildings for Koło and Gdynia Główna (also demolished). The station building was replaced in 1977–1978.
