Konin is a city in central Poland, on the Warta River. It is the capital of Konin County and is located within the Greater Poland Voivodeship. Prior to 1999, it was the capital of the Konin Voivodeship (1975–1998). In 2006, the population was 81,233.

Stare Miasto is a village in Konin County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Stare Miasto. It lies approximately 6 kilometres south-west of Konin and 92 km east of the regional capital Poznań. The village has an approximate population of 1,500. The name means "old town", although Stare Miasto has never had the status of a town or city.
Konin railway station
Konin railway station is a railway station in Konin, Poland. As of 2012, it is served by Przewozy Regionalne (local and InterRegio services), PKP Intercity (TLK services), and international services. The original station building, designed by Romuald Miller, was a two-wing construction modelled on a Polish gentry house. Miller designed similar buildings for Koło and Gdynia Główna (also demolished). The station building was replaced in 1977–1978.
