Mildura
Mildura is a regional city in northwestern Victoria, Australia and seat of the Rural City of Mildura local government area. It is located in the Sunraysia region, and is on the banks of the Murray River. The current population is estimated at just over 30,000 in 2009. Mildura is a major agricultural centre notable for its grape production, supplying 80% of Victoria's grapes. Many wineries also source grapes from Mildura.
Sunraysia
Sunraysia is an area of northwestern Victoria and southwestern New South Wales in Australia, known for its sunshine, grapes and oranges. Its main centre is Mildura. Sunraysia was a name derived from a contest that entrepreneur Jack De Garis had held as part of a promotion in 1919 on behalf of the Australian Dried Fruits Association. The public were invited to submit a name which described the dried fruits grown in the Mildura district.
Merbein, Victoria
Merbein is a town outside Mildura, Victoria, in the Sunraysia region of Australia. It is on the Calder Highway between Mildura and the Murray River crossing on the Abbotsford Bridge to Curlwaa. At the 2006 census, the town had a population of 2526. The area was known as White Cliffs until 1909 when the township was established, the post office opening on 16 August 1909.
Buronga, New South Wales
Buronga is a town in New South Wales, Australia on the Murray River. The George Chaffey Bridge connects Buronga with Mildura, Victoria. In 2011, the town had a population of 1132 people.
Longest bar in Australia
As with any such statistic, there are a number of claims for the title "the longest bar in Australia": Captains Flat, New South Wales: When the new hotel was built in 1938 was said to have the longest bar in Australia at the time; it was 32 metres long. Mildura, Victoria: The Mildura Working Man's Sports & Social Club built a T-shaped bar in 1938. It was believed to be the longest bar in the state of Victoria.
Yelta, Victoria
Yelta is a small locality in Victoria, Australia. It was for a short time in the 1870s and 1880s the Victorian administrative centre of what is now Sunraysia and the Millewa. This role was then taken over by Mildura. At the 2011 census, Yelta and the surrounding area had a population of 281. It is presently notable for containing the terminus of the Melbourne-Mildura railway line, an Elders stockyard and half of the Abbotsford Bridge, part of the Calder Highway.
Birdwoodton, Victoria
Birwoodton is a locality situated in the Sunraysia region, in north western Victoria, Australia. The place by road, is situated about 4 kilometres south of Merbein and 14 kilometres northwest of Mildura. Named after William Birdwood, 1st Baron Birdwood, leader of the ANZAC forces at the Battle of Gallipoli, it was established as an agricultural soldier settler scheme soon after World War I. The Post Office opened on 19 July 1920 (closed in 1978).
Irymple, Victoria
Irymple is a town in the state of Victoria in Australia. Located in the region of Sunraysia in the far North-West Victoria, Irymple is 6 km south of Mildura and 550 km northwest of Melbourne. At the 2006 census, Irymple and the surrounding area had a population of 5,740. The township was established soon after Mildura, the Post Office opening on 17 February 1892. Irymple is most known for IPC (Irymple Packing Co. ) sultanas.
Mildura railway station
Mildura was the passenger terminus for the Mildura railway line in Victoria, Australia. Located in the city of Mildura it is located on the eastern side of the town centre, alongside the Murray River. Although there has not been a passenger rail service since 1993, the Victorian Labor Government promised to return the service in 1999.
Cardross, Victoria
Cardross is a small town approximately 15 km south east of Mildura, in north western Victoria, Australia. At the 2006 census, Cardross and the surrounding area had a population of 739. It was the site of a road fatality in February 2006, in which six teenagers were killed in a hit-run accident. Cardross named after the Scottish village was established as a farming community in the 1920s, the Post Office opening on 15 June 1925.

The Cardross Lakes are an irrigation drainage basin system located approximately 15 km south-west of Mildura, Victoria, Australia. The lakes are notable for being the only known occurrence within Victoria of the Southern Purple Spotted Gudgeon, discovered in 1995, believed to be extinct in Victoria since the 1930s.

Easymix 1467
Easymix 1467 (3ML) is a commercial radio station based in the Mildura/Sunraysia region. Commercial radio first started in the region on May 25th 1933, from the T & G Building in 8th Street Mildura. The original frequency was 1390AM but this was altered by Government regulation over the years to the current frequency 1467AM. Although another callsign was originally allocated to the AM commercial radio frequency, Easymix 1467's official callsign is 3ML.

It is located on River Road in Wentworth Shire's Mourquong, New South Wales, 5 km northwest of Buronga. The regional city of Mildura, Victoria is located nearby, across the Mildura/Buronga George Chaffey Bridge. AIBG is the Southern Hemisphere's first semi-arid botanical gardens.
Mildura TT Circuit
The Mildura TT Circuit was a motor racing venue in Victoria, Australia, which was used for three motorcycle road racing events from 1954 to 1956. It was located next to Mildura Airport and ran along a section of the Sturt Highway. At the time, the six-kilometre long circuit was the fastest in Australia with an average speed of around 160-kilometres per hour and a main straight exceeding 1.6-kilometres in length.
