Mount Barker is an expanding city, home to 10 258 residents that is 33 kilometres up the South Eastern Freeway, east of Adelaide, in South Australia. It is the seat of the District Council of Mount Barker, is the largest town in the Adelaide Hills, and is one of the fastest growing areas in the state. Mount Barker is close enough to Adelaide that many people commute there on a daily basis, although it is far enough away from the city that people call it "the country".

Totness, South Australia
Totness is a recent addition to South Australia, and consists mainly of industrial zoned areas. It is commonly referred to as Mount Barker or Littlehampton but is actually a town of its own. There is no street sign indicating you are entering Totness. It is about 2 km from Mount Barker, and 1 km from Littlehampton, but the towns have merged due to growth. It is also home to the Totness Recreation Park.
Totness Recreation Park
Totness Recreation Park, is a public park near the town of Totness, South Australia in the central Mount Lofty Ranges. Covering 41 hectares of land, the park is divided by the South Eastern Freeway and features a large dam. It was declared as a reserve in 1970 and re-designated as a recreation park in 1972. The park has no visitor facilities except for access tracks.
Littlehampton, South Australia
Littlehampton is a small town in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. At the 2006 census, Littlehampton had a population of 2,064. Littlehampton was laid out in 1849 by Benjamin Gray who named it after his native town in Sussex. By 1890 Littlehampton had become a busy industrial area. There were factories producing bricks, jam, sauces, bacon, wattle extract, a brewery and a sawmill.

Mount Barker railway station is a preserved railway station in South Australia on the Victor Harbor railway line, formerly operated by South Australian Railways and it successor, Australian National. With only broad gauge track running through the station, it has been disconnected from the Adelaide metropolitan network since the standardisation of the Adelaide-Melbourne line in 1995.

Blakiston is a town in the Australian state of South Australia. The town is located approximately 36 kilometres south-east of the state capital, Adelaide, adjacent to the Princes Highway. Its postal code is 5250 - though it has no post office. Post is delivered to the neighbouring town of Littlehampton which shares the post code. The town and surrounding countryside make up around 16 square kilometres. At the 2006 census, Blakiston and the surrounding area had a population of 697.
