Rhoon
Rhoon is a village that borders the municipality of the city of Rotterdam, South Holland, the Netherlands. According to its history it was established in 1199 and was ruled by the lords of Duiveland. In the 14th century the village was struck by many floods. In the last big flood, the North Sea flood of 1953, the Dutch government implemented the "deltawerken". This is a large protection barrier of dikes and dams to keep the water of the North Sea out during high tides.
Rhoonse Veer
Rhoonse Veer is a former hamlet, located south of the Dutch town of Rhoon. The name means "Rhoon's ferry", and refers to the ferry between Rhoon and Oud-Beijerland. The hamlet grew around the Catholic Church of Rhoon. After the Reformation, the Catholics in the area lost their church in Rhoon to the Protestant majority, but the lord of Rhoon, Willem Bentinck, allowed them to build a new church near the ferry in 1684. The hamlet no longer exists; it is now a part of the town of Rhoon itself.
Koedood
Koedood is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located on the border of the municipalities of Albrandswaard and Barendrecht. Koedood was the name of a small stream, flowing from the Oude Maas northwest to the Meuse River, opposite of Schiedam. It separated the island of IJsselmonde from Poortugaal and Rhoon. It was dammed and used for draining the surrounding polders.

Goidschalxoord is a small village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located about 5 km east of Oud-Beijerland, in the municipality of Binnenmaas. Goidschalxoord was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1855, when it merged with Heinenoord.
Heinenoord
Heinenoord is a town in the Dutch province of South Holland on the island Hoekse Waard. It is located about 10 km south of Rotterdam, in the municipality of Binnenmaas. Heinenoord was a separate municipality until 1984, when it became part of Binnenmaas. After 1855, the municipality also covered the village of Goidschalxoord. The Heinenoordtunnel is a road tunnel located near Heinenoord and is named after it.

Mijnsheerenland is a village on the Hoeksche Waard in the Dutch province of South Holland with 4,435 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2006). It is located on the shores of the Binnenbedijkte Maas (Lake Binnenmaas), about 14 km south of the city of Rotterdam, in the municipality of Binnenmaas. It is the only village in the municipality not built next to a dyke.
Rhoon (Rotterdam Metro)
Rhoon is an above-ground subway station of Rotterdam Metro line D. The station is located in Rhoon, a village in the municipality Albrandswaard to the southwest of Rotterdam. The station was opened on October 25, 1974. On that date, the North-South Line was extended from its former terminus, Slinge, towards Zalmplaat station. Right outside the station, passengers can get on RET-operated bus line 62.
