Lijnbaan
The Lijnbaan is the main shopping street of Rotterdam. It was opened in 1953, as the main pedestrian street in the new shopping district, after the old shopping district was completely destroyed during the bombing of Rotterdam by the German Luftwaffe. It was designed by the firm Van den Broek & Bakema led by architects Jo van den Broek and Jacob B. Bakema. It's a complete car-free zone and has been a testcase for numerous car-free shopping streets around the world.
Beurs (Rotterdam Metro)
Beurs is a major subway interchange station in the center of Rotterdam. Underneath Churchill Square, the two lines through the city center (lines A-B-C and lines D-E) intersect. Passengers for Rotterdam Central Station change here to line D if they started their journey on line A, B, or C. All destinations within the network are accessible from Beurs. Since December 2011, it has also been incorporated into the new RandstadRail network, resulting in a direct connection to The Hague (line E).
Schouwburgplein (Rotterdam)
Schouwburgplein is situated in the heart of the city of Rotterdam, and is flanked by the municipal theatre, concert hall, central station, restaurants, and shopping malls. As an urban stage and an interactive open space, the 12.250 square meters theater square is designed by West 8, the landscape architecture firm founded by Adriaan Geuze. The design emphasizes the importance of a void, which opens a panorama towards the city skyline. It was open to the public in 1996.
Stadhuis (Rotterdam Metro)
Stadhuis is an underground subway station in the city of Rotterdam, and is located on Rotterdam Metro lines D and E. The station opened on February 9, 1968, on the same date that the North-South Line (also temporarily called Erasmus line), of which it is a part, was opened. The station is located in the center of Rotterdam, underneath the Coolsingel, a major street through the center.
Maritime Museum Rotterdam
The Maritime Museum Rotterdam is a maritime museum in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Dedicated to naval history, it was founded in 1873 by Prince Henry of the Netherlands. One of the major attractions is the 19th-century ironclad ram ship HNLMS Buffel, which is moored outside of the museum. The ship will be moved to Hellevoetsluis in 2013 due to cost cuts.

The Rotterdam branch of De Bijenkorf is one of the three main branches of the department store. The present building dates from 1956 and is the symbol of the rebuilding of the city of Rotterdam . Trams in Rotterdam
The Rotterdam tramway network is a key element of the overall public transport arrangements in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Opened in 1879, the network currently has 8 regular lines and 3 occasional lines. It has been operated since 1927 by Rotterdamse Elektrische Tram (RET). This is the most expanded rapid transit system of the city while the Rotterdam metro is the most used system.

Hofplein is a major public town square in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The square lies on a crossing of the Weena, the Schiekade and the Coolsingel. In the center of the square a large fountain is situated. Near to the square lied the former Rotterdam Hofplein railway station.
Amarone (restaurant)
Amarone is a restaurant in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that is awarded one Michelin star in the period 2008–present. GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 16 out of 20 points. Head chef of Amarone is Gert Blom. In 2007, the restaurant was the highest new entry in the "Lekker Top-100 2008". It reached spot 54. At that moment, Amarone was only fifteen 15 months in business. The Michelin star, awarded just 2 weeks later, took them completely by surprise.
