Presidency University, Kolkata, formerly Hindu College and Presidency College, is a public state university located in Kolkata, West Bengal. It was established in 1817, making it one of the oldest educational institutions of western education in South Asia.
Howrah Bridge
The Howrah Bridge is a suspension type balanced cantilever bridge that spans the Hooghly River in West Bengal, India. Commissioned in 1943, the bridge was originally named the New Howrah Bridge, because it links the city of Howrah to its twin city, Kolkata (Calcutta). On 14 June 1965 it was renamed Rabindra Setu, after the great Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore who was the first Indian and Asian Nobel laureate. However it is still popularly known as the Howrah Bridge.

It is one of the four intercity railway stations serving Kolkata, the others are Sealdah Station, Shalimar Station and Kolkata railway station in Kolkata. Hindu School, Kolkata
Hindu School is a school in Kolkata, India. It is located on College Street, in the vicinity of Hare School, College Square, Presidency College and the University of Calcutta. Hindu College, the school's predecessor, was established in 1817 by Raja Rammohan Roy, David Hare, Radhakanta Deb and other educationists. In 1855, the pathsala part of Hindu College became Hindu School and the other part (mahapathshala) became Presidency College.
Minerva Theatre, Kolkata
The Minerva Theatre is a theatre in Calcutta, built in 1893. It was erected at the site on Beadon Street where the Great National Theatre stood before. The maiden play held on this stage was 'Macbeth'. It was initially owned by Nagendra Bhusan Mukhopaddhaya. In course of time, it witnessed several transfers of ownership. Sri Girish Chandra Ghosh is noted for having given the last spectacular performance of his life in this theatre. "Minerva" was burnt down in a fire in 1922.

Metcalfe Hall
Metcalfe Hall is a heritage building situated in Kolkata, India, at the junction of Strand Road and Hare Street in the heart of the city's business district. The architecture is reflective of the British imperial architecture at the beginning of the nineteenth century. It was built between 1840-1844 according to the design prepared by the city magistrate, C.K. Robinson and named after Sir Charles T. Metcalfe, the Governor-General of India, in honour of his efforts towards a free press.

Armenian Church of the Holy Nazareth
The Armenian Church of the Holy Nazareth is an Armenian Apostolic church a church that is located in the northwest corner of Barabazar in the Greater Kolkata area, and is called "Mother Church of the Indian Armenians". It is possibly the oldest church in the Kolkata area. It was built in 1724 by Agha Nazar after a fire destroyed the previous Armenian church that had been built on the land in 1688.

Cathedral of the Most Holy Rosary
The Cathedral of the Most Holy Rosary, commonly known as the Portuguese Church, in Kolkata, is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Calcutta. The cathedral has a decorated pediment, flanked on either side by two domed towers and an extended portico with arched entrance way. Behind the altar, there are the figures of Madonna and Child. The remains of the first Archbishop of Calcutta lie below the altar.
