Sonagachi
Sonagachi is the largest red-light district in Kolkata, India and one of the largest in Asia. It is an area with several hundred multi-story brothels and estimated 11,000 sex workers. Sonagachi is located in North Kolkata near the intersection of Chittaranjan Avenue Shobha Bazar and Beadon Street, just north of the Marble Palace.
Minerva Theatre, Kolkata
The Minerva Theatre is a theatre in Calcutta, built in 1893. It was erected at the site on Beadon Street where the Great National Theatre stood before. The maiden play held on this stage was 'Macbeth'. It was initially owned by Nagendra Bhusan Mukhopaddhaya. In course of time, it witnessed several transfers of ownership. Sri Girish Chandra Ghosh is noted for having given the last spectacular performance of his life in this theatre. "Minerva" was burnt down in a fire in 1922.
Marble Palace Zoo
The Marble Palace (Kolkata), located at 46,Muktaram Babu Street, Kolkata 700007, is a palatial mansion located in North Kolkata, India, which was built by Raja Rajendra Mullick in 1835 and contains many beautiful Western sculptures, pieces of Victorian furniture, and paintings by European and Indian artists. Large chandeliers, clocks, and busts of kings and queens decorate the hallways of the palace.

The area, under Shyampukur police station of Kolkata Police, has been, along with neighbouring Bagbazar, the citadel of the Bengali aristocracy, in a part of what was earlier known as Sutanuti. Shyambazar-Hatibagan broadly covers Ward Nos. 11 and 12 of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. The Japanese had dropped a bomb near Hatibagan market during World War II but it did not explode.

It originates at Ultadanga, known as Ultadanga Main Road. It changes to Aurobinda Sarani at Khanna Cinema crossing, A. P. C. Road, continues eastwards, crossing Bidhan Sarani, Jatindra Mohan Avenue and changes into Shobhabazar Street at Rabindra Sarani Crossing.
