Mátra
Mécanique Aviation Traction or Matra (Mécanique Aviation TRAction) was a French company covering a wide range of activities mainly related to automobile, bicycles, aeronautics and weaponry. In 1994, it became a subsidiary of the Lagardère Group and now operates under that name. Matra was owned by the Floirat family. The name Matra became famous in the 1960s when it went into car production by buying Automobiles René Bonnet.
Gyöngyös
Gyöngyös is a city in Heves county in Hungary, 80 km east of Budapest. Situated at the foot of the Sár-hegy and Mátra mountains, it is the home of numerous food production plants, including milk production and sausage factories. It is also the home of many vineyards, which use the slopes of the Sárhegy to cultivate vines.
Piszkéstető Station
The Piszkéstető Station or Piszkéstető Mountain Station is an observatory in Mátra Mountains, Hungary, first built in 1958. The station is a station of Konkoly Observatory, Budapest. It has IAU codes 461 and 561. The observatory features four telescopes, a 1 m Ritchey–Chrétien telescope since 1974, a 60/90/180 cm Schmidt telescope since 1962 and an 50 cm Cassegrain telescope since 1966 and a 40 cm Ritchey–Chrétien telescope since 2010.
Galya-tető

Ecsed
Ecsed is a small village in Hungary. There is an old town of Ecsed in the eastern part of Hungary that has been renamed Nagyecsed, meaning "grand" or "great Ecsed". The Blood Countess Elizabeth Báthory, was raised in Ecsed at Ecsed Castle. Her title in Hungarian nobility was Countess Elizabeth Báthory von Ecsed. The use of the German adelsprädikat "von" meant "of". In the Hungarian language, the suffix "i" at the end of the name of the village or town meant the same.

Parád is a village in Heves County, Hungary, north of the Mátra, in the valley of the Parádi-Tarna. Parád is noted for the numerous mineral springs in its area, and the famous spa in Parádfürdő. The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts was formed at the fifth International Guide Conference, held in Parád in 1928.

Kékestető TV Tower is a 178-metre tall TV tower built of reinforced concrete on the 1,014-metre high Kékes mountain, Hungary. Kékestető TV Tower is a partially guyed tower as its antenna mast is guyed to the ground. The mast offers the highest public accessible observation deck in Hungary, being situated 134 metres above ground.
Márkháza
Márkháza is a village in Nógrád County, Hungary. It is located 15 kilometers from Salgótarján in the Kis Zagyva Valley. The village is believed to have been named after Mark, the son of one of the owners of Fehérkő Castle. It was first mentioned in writing in 1548, when it was destroyed by Turkish troops. Afterwards, it was known as Tótmarokháza, indicating a Slovak presence and influence in the village. Historically, the village's primary industry was coal mining.
