Greene County, Ohio
Greene County is a county located in the state of Ohio, United States. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 161,573, which is an increase of 9.3% from 147,886 in 2000. Its county seat is Xenia, and it was named for General Nathanael Greene, an officer in the Revolutionary War. Greene County was established on March 24, 1803. Greene County is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Wilberforce, Ohio
Wilberforce is a census-designated place (CDP) in Greene County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,579 at the 2000 census. The community was named for the English statesman William Wilberforce, who worked for abolition of slavery and achieved the end of the slave trade in the United Kingdom and its empire. The small community was an important stop on the Underground Railroad before the American Civil War, as it had seven stations.
WCSU-FM
WCSU-FM is a National Public Radio member station. Licensed in Wilberforce, Ohio, USA, the station is currently owned by Central State University. Music programming is a contemporary/smooth jazz blend with some urban gospel programming. It is the oldest HBCU radio station. In the early 1980s, the station was programmed by Program Director Willis Parker. The General Manager was LaRue Turner, who was also WCSU-FM's Chief Engineer. Dr.
