Newport, Kentucky
Newport is a city in Campbell County, Kentucky, United States, at the confluence of the Ohio and Licking rivers. The population was 15,273 at the 2010 census. Historically, it was one of four county seats of Campbell County. Newport is part of the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio Metro Area which comprises over 2 million inhabitants.
Great American Ball Park
Great American Ball Park is a baseball venue located in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is the home field of the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB). It opened in 2003, replacing Cinergy Field (formerly Riverfront Stadium), which had been their home field from June 1970 to 2002. U.S. Bank Arena
U.S. Bank Arena is an indoor arena, located in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, along the banks of the Ohio River, next to the Great American Ball Park. It was completed in September 1975, and named Riverfront Coliseum because of its placement next to Riverfront Stadium. The arena seats 17,556 people (in the round). It is the largest indoor arena in the Greater Cincinnati region with 346,100 square feet in area. It was the home of the Cincinnati Stingers, of the WHA, from 1975–1979.
Miami and Erie Canal
The Miami and Erie Canal was a canal that connected the Ohio River in Cincinnati, Ohio with Lake Erie in Toledo, Ohio. Construction on the canal began in 1825 and was completed in 1845. It consisted of 19 aqueducts, three guard locks, and 103 canal locks. Each lock measured 90 feet by 15 feet and they collectively raised the canal 395 feet above Lake Erie and 513 feet above the Ohio River.
World Peace Bell
The Newport, Kentucky, World Peace Bell is one of more than twenty Peace Bells around the world. It weighs 33,285 kg (73,381 lb) and is 3.7 m (12 feet) wide. From 2000 until 2006, it was the largest swinging bell in the world. It was dedicated on December 31, 1999, and was first swung as the year 2000 opened.

The aquarium showcases thousands of animals from around the world in a million gallons (3.8 million liters) of water, including the "Scooter" and "Sweet Pea," two of the few shark rays in captivity and the only breeding pair on display in the world.
Cincinnati–Newport Bridge

The Who concert disaster took place at the Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 3, 1979, as part of the band's U.S. tour, the first in three years and their first performance in Cincinnati since 1975. Eleven fans (Teva Ladd, 27; Walter Adams, Jr. , 22; James Warmoth, 21; Phillip Snyder, 20; David Heck, 19; Stephan Preston, 19; Peter Bowes, 18; Connie Burns, 18; Bryan Wagner, 17; Karen Morrison, 15; and Jacqueline Eckerle, 15) were killed by compressive asphyxia.
Reds Legends of Crosley Field
Reds Legends of Crosley Field is a group of bronze sculptures by artist Tom Tsuchiya, located at the main entrance of Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. The sculptures represent four Crosley Field era Cincinnati Reds players: Ted Kluszewski, Ernie Lombardi, Joe Nuxhall and Frank Robinson. These players were selected by a fan vote conducted by the Cincinnati Reds.
Lytle Park
Lytle Park is an urban park in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. The 2.31-acre park is located at the southeast corner of Fourth and Lawrence streets in the downtown area. It forms the centerpiece of the Lytle Park Historic District. Lytle Park has a storied history and represents one of the oldest areas in the city. Originally a hardwood forest, the park and its vicinity was the early site of the Fort Washington fort, built in 1789 to protect early settlers of the Ohio River town.
