Ambt Montfort
Ambt Montfort is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Limburg. In 1991, the municipalities of Montfort, Posterholt, Reutje and Sint Odiliënberg merged. The original name of the merged municipality was "Posterholt", but it was changed in "Ambt Montfort" in 1994. On January 1, 2007, Ambt Montfort merged into the municipality of Roerdalen.

Susteren
Susteren is a city in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is located in the municipality of Echt-Susteren, about 7 km northwest of Sittard. It was a separate municipality until 2003, when it was merged with Echt. Susteren received town privileges in 1276. Susteren harboured the Benedictine Abbey Susteren, that was founded in the 8th century and was closed at the end of the 18th century. Its Romanesque church was raised to the status of a basilica in 2007 by pope Benedict XVI.
Nieuwstadt
Nieuwstadt is a city in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is a part of the municipality of Echt-Susteren, and lies about 5 km north of Sittard. In 2001, Nieuwstadt had 3088 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.74 km², and contained 1235 residences. Nieuwstadt received city rights in 1271. It was a separate municipality until 1982, when it was merged with Susteren.
Heel, Netherlands
Heel is a town in the southeastern Netherlands. It has been a part of the municipality of Maasgouw since January 1, 2007. Before, it was a separate municipality covering Heel, Panheel, Beegden and Wessem. Before 1991, the official name of the municipality was Heel en Panheel. In pre-Roman times, this was the location of the Gallic town of Catualium. The town is located near the E25 motorway and the river Meuse.
Koningsbosch
Koningsbosch is a village within the municipality of Echt-Susteren, in the Dutch province of Limburg. Koningsbosch is located next to the German border, approximately 10 kilometres east of the town of Echt. The neighbourhood of Koningsbosch, which also includes the hamlets Echterbosch, Spaanshuisken, Aan Reijans and the surrounding countryside, covers an area of 0.27 km², has 1.711 inhabitants (as of 1 May 2005) and consists of some 700 houses.

Linne is a town in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is a part of the municipality of Maasgouw, and lies about 6 km southwest of Roermond. Linne was a separate municipality until 1991, when it was merged with Maasbracht. In 2007 it became part of the Municipality of Maasgouw. In 2001, Linne had 3634 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 1.09 km², and contained 1514 residences.
Wessem
Wessem is a small village in the Netherlands, in the province of Limburg. Wessem is a part of the municipality of Maasgouw. As of 2002, Wessem had a population of 1,750.

Susteren Abbey (Abdij van Susteren) is a former Benedictine abbey at Susteren near Roermond, Limburg, Netherlands founded in the 8th century. The former abbey church is now St. Amelberga Basilica.
Gebroek
Gebroek is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is a part of the municipality of Echt-Susteren, and lies about 11 km north of Sittard. In 2001, Gebroek had 139 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.08 km², and contained 55 residences.

Ohé en Laak
Ohé en Laak is a small village in the province of Limburg, Netherlands, which has been subsumed into the municipality of Maasgouw. The village used to be home to several castles, one of which is Hasseltholt which is popularly called "Het Geudje". The other was the castle of Walburg. This castle was ruined and is fully removed now. The soccer team is called Walburgia. Furthermore there is a renovated windmill called "De Hompesche molen".
De Baandert
De Baandert was a multi-use stadium in Sittard-Geleen, Netherlands. It was used mostly for football matches and hosted the home matches of Fortuna Sittard. The stadium was able to hold 22,000 people. It was closed in 1999 when Wagner & Partners Stadion opened. The stadium hosted one international match of the Dutch national football team: a friendly played on May 27, 1992 against Austria (3-2).
Broeksittard
Broeksittard is a former village in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is now a neighbourhood of the town Sittard, and part of the municipality of Sittard-Geleen. It has partly kept its village character. Broeksittard was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1942, when it was merged with Sittard by the German occupier. From 24 March to 28 March 1543 Broeksittard was almost completely destroyed during the battle for the Kemperkoul.
Pol en Panheel
Pol en Panheel is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Limburg, covering the village of Panheel and the hamlet Pol. It merged with Heel in 1821 to form the new municipality of Heel en Panheel.
Roosteren
Roosteren is a village in the Dutch province of Limburg. It is located in the municipality of Echt-Susteren. Roosteren was a separate municipality until 1982, when it was merged with Susteren. The municipality also covered the villages of Visserweert, Kokkelert, and Oud-Roosteren.
Stevensweert
Aldeneik
Aldeneik, founded in 730, is a suburb of the Belgian town of Maaseik. It lies on the banks of the Meuse River, close to the border with the Netherlands, close to where the Bosbeek runs off it. According to legend it sprung up around a monastery set up by the Frankish sisters Herlindis and Relindis, who wrote the Gospel book known as the Codex Eyckensis, still in Maaseik. In the settlement is to be found the Romanesque and Gothic Sint-Annakerk.
Church of Saint Anne, Aldeneik
The Sint-Annakerk is a Romanesque, partly Gothic, Roman Catholic church in Aldeneik, Belgium. The church was begun in the 12th century and consists of a 3-aisle basilica in Mosan style without transepts. Originally, the church was part of the Aldeneik monastery. Since the 18th century it has been dedicated to Saint Anne.
Geleenbeek
The Geleenbeek is a small river in Limburg, the Netherlands. Its source is near the village Benzenrade, part of the city of Heerlen. It flows generally northwest, along Nuth, Schinnen, Spaubeek, turns north at Geleen, flows through the centre of Sittard, and further north through Nieuwstadt until it flows into a branch of the Meuse at Stevensweert.

Susteren is a railway station in Susteren, Netherlands. The station was opened in 1862 and is located on the Maastricht–Venlo railway, which is also known as the Staatslijn E. Train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen.
Da Vinci (restaurant)
Da Vinci is a restaurant in Maasbracht in the Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that is awarded one Michelin star for the period 1999-2008. From 2008 to present it is awarded two stars. GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 17.0 points (out of 20). The restaurant is a member of Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise, a Dutch/Belgian culinary association of quality restaurants and the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
1992 Roermond earthquake
The earthquake in Roermond on 13 April 1992, around 3:20 AM, was the strongest earthquake ever recorded in the Netherlands and one of the strongest earthquakes in the history of North Western Europe.
Aldeneik Abbey
Aldeneik Abbey is a former Benedictine abbey in Aldeneik, now a suburb of Maaseik in the Province of Limburg in eastern Belgium. It was founded in 728. The Benedictines were replaced by canons in 938 and belonged to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Liège.
