Neuschwanstein Castle
Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and as an homage to Richard Wagner. Ludwig paid for the palace out of his personal fortune and by means of extensive borrowing, not with Bavarian public funds.

Alpsee
The Alpsee is a lake in the Ostallgäu district of Bavaria, Germany, located about 4 kilometres southeast of Füssen. It is close to the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. The lake has just under five kilometres of shoreline and a depth of up to 62 metres. It is a popular tourist attraction, given its proximity to the castles and the wild swans that inhabit the lake. Boats are available for rent and there is a wide variety of hiking trails in the vicinity.
Gaicht Pass
Gaicht Pass (el. 1093 m. ) is a high mountain pass in the Alps in Tyrol in Austria. It connects the valley of the Lech near Weißenbach an der Lech with the Tannheim valley near Nesselwängle. It is crossed by federal highway B 199, which runs along the Haldensee and over the Oberjoch Pass in Germany.
2007 European Curling Championships
The 2007 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships were held in Füssen, Germany December 1-8, 2007. Scotland, skipped by David Murdoch, won the gold medal by beating Norway's Thomas Ulsrud 5-3 in the final. Norway had not lost a single game entering the final. On the women's side, Anette Norberg of Sweden captured the gold medal with a 9-4 victory over Scotland's Kelly Wood. This marks Norberg's seventh European championship in the last eight years.
Archbach
The Archbach, also called Planseeache, is an about 15 km long influx on the right side of the Lech River in Tyrol, Austria. It arises from the Plansee in Breitenwang. After that the river flows northeastward to Reutte and to Pflach where it merges with the Lech.
Vils (Lech)
The river Vils is a 30 km long tributary of the Lech River in the Alps of Austria and Germany. The Vils has a drainage basin of approximately a 300 km², with an average annual precipitation of nearly 2000 mm. It originates in the Allgäu Alps in Tyrol from the supplies of the Vilsalpsee, and is its only discharge.
Hopfensee
Hopfensee is a lake in Bayerisch Schwaben, Bavaria, Germany. At an elevation of 783.8 m, its surface area is 194 ha. The maximum length of the lake is 2.1 km, and its circumference is 6.8 km. It lies north of Füssen in Ostallgäu. Its maximum depth is 10 m. It was formed by the Lechtal glacier and is one of the remains of a larger Fuessener See. The Hopfensee-Ach flows out of the lake and into the Forggensee. On the northeast shore is the resort Hopfen am See.

Alatsee is a meromictic lake in Ostallgäu, Bavaria, Germany. At an elevation of 868.0 m, its surface area is 12.00 ha. This lake supposedly holds "Hitler's gold". Many divers have died or disappeared mysteriously in this lake due to the toxicity of the organisms living in this lake. These organisms create the "blood cloud " that occurs quite abundantly throughout the year.

Neuschwanstein (meteorite)
Neuschwanstein was an enstatite chondrite (type EL6) meteorite that fell to Earth on 6 April 2002 at 22:20:18 GMT near Neuschwanstein Castle, Bavaria, at the Germany-Austria border. The original meteorite burst into several fragments at a height of about 22 kilometers above the ground. The fragments descended on an area of several square kilometers. Three fragments were recovered with a total mass of about six kilograms.

Tannheim Mountains
The Tannheim Mountains are a sub-group of the Allgäu Alps in the Bavarian-Tyrolean border region. Their name is derived from the village of Tannheim in the Tannheim Valley in the Austrian state of Tyrol. The highest elevations in the Tannheim Mountains are the Kellenspitze (2,238 m) and Gimpel (2,176 m), that may easily be ascended from Nesselwängle in the Tannheim valley.
Ausserfern Railway
|} The Ausserfern Railway is a cross-border railway line in the German state of Bavaria and the Austrian state of Tyrol. The single-tracked branch line starts from Kempten in Germany, before crossing into Austria just after passing through Pfronten. It then transits the Außerfern area around Reutte, before passing back into Germany in order to terminate at Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Schwaltenweiher
The Schwaltenweiher is a reservoir lake in the Ostallgäu foothills of the Alps. It lies 14 km from the Allgäu Alps between the towns of Seeg and Rückholz. It was named after the Schwaltenmühle mill built beside it, which was in turn named after the Schwalt or Schwald family. It is now used for bathing and fishing.

Füssen Station is the station in the town of Füssen. It has two platform tracks and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 6 station. The station is the terminus of the Biessenhofen–Füssen railway, also known as the König-Ludwig-Bahn. Apart from Füssen station, the town once had a station called Hopfensee.
