Cappagh

Cappagh is a small village, townland and civil parish in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is between Pomeroy, Ballygawley, Galbally and Carrickmore, with the hamlet of Galbally about one mile to the east. Most of the land around Cappagh is farmland although a quarry lies just outside the village. There is also a small rural parish in the west of county Limerick called Cappagh.

Shanmaghery

Shanmaghery or Shanmaghry (from Irish: Sean-mhachaire, meaning "old plain") is a small hamlet and townland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, situated six miles from Pomeroy and three miles from Galbally. It is situated in the barony of Dungannon Middle and the civil parish of Pomeroy and covers an area of 426 acres. Shanmaghery still remains partially an isolated area spanning one small road and several country lanes that straddle hilly countryside with excellent views of Tyrone and beyond.

Galbally (from Irish: Gallbhuaile, meaning "stone booley") is a hamlet and townland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is between Cappagh and Donaghmore. Its name was formerly spelt as Gallwolly and Gallwally. The hamlet has one pub, a convenience shop, a church and a post office with an adjoining grocery shop. The local Gaelic football team is called Galbally Pearses. Galbally is a mostly Irish nationalist/republican area and is strongly linked to The Troubles.

1991 Cappagh killings

The 1991 Cappagh killings was a gun attack by the loyalist Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) on 3 March 1991 in the village of Cappagh, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. A unit of the UVF's Mid-Ulster Brigade drove to the staunchly republican village and shot dead three Provisional IRA volunteers and a Catholic civilian at Boyle's Bar.

Parkanaur House

Parkanaur House is a Class A listed large Tudor Revival style house in the village of Castlecaulfield near Dungannon, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. The present house is a two-storey building constructed in the 1840s from block rubble. It has a terraced front with octagonal pinnacles and gables at each projection of the façade, a big bay window and an upper oriel and incorporates an earlier two storey building as an east wing. At the rear is a coach house and free-standing office block.
