Benito Juárez, D.F
Benito Juárez is one of the 16 delegaciones (boroughs) into which Mexico's Federal District is divided. It is a largely residential area, located to the south of historic center of Mexico City, although there are pressures for areas to convert to commercial use. It was named after Benito Juárez, president in the 19th century. The borough has the highest socioeconomic index in the country as it is primarily populated by the middle and upper middle classes.
Metro Xola
Metro Xola is a station on Line 2 of the Mexico City Metro system. It is located in the Colonia Moderna and Colonia Alamos districts of the Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City, directly south of the city centre on Calzada de Tlalpan. It is a surface station. The station logo shows a coconut palm tree. The name comes from the 19th century "Xola" hacienda that existed in the current site of the station.
Metro Viaducto
Viaducto is a station on Line 2 of the Mexico City Metro system. It is located in the border of Benito Juárez and Iztacalco boroughs of Mexico City, south of the city centre on Calzada de Tlalpan. It is a surface station. It is represented by the stylised logo of a cloverleaf interchange, which represents crossing of Calzada de Tlalpan (a former Aztec road) and Viaducto Miguel Alemán, a crosscutting freeway that runs across the middle of the Federal District which opened in September 1950.
Battle of Churubusco
The Battle of Churubusco took place on August 20, 1847, in the immediate aftermath of the Battle of Contreras (Padierna) during the Mexican-American War. After defeating the Mexican army at Churubusco, the U.S. Army was only 5 miles (8 km) away from Mexico City, the capital of the nation. A month later, the US forces captured Mexico City and the war was over.

Churubusco is a neighbourhood of Mexico City. Under the current territorial division of the Mexican Federal District, it is a part of the borough (delegación) of Coyoacán. It is centred around the former Franciscan monastery (ex convento de Churubusco) at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:19|21|20|N|99|8|55|W| | |name= }}.
Metro General Anaya
Metro General Anaya is a station on Line 2 of the Mexico City Metro system. It is located in the Coyoacán borough of Mexico City, directly south of the city centre in the median of Calzada de Tlalpan, and right next to the Estudios Churubusco. It is a surface station. The station logo shows a military officer standing next to a cannon, while the station is named after General Pedro María Anaya, commander of the Mexican forces during the 1847 Battle of Churubusco of the Mexican-American War.
Metro Villa de Cortés
Metro Villa de Cortés is a station on Line 2 of the Mexico City Metro system. It is located in the Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City, directly south of the city centre on Calzada de Tlalpan. It is a surface station. The station logo depicts a helmet of the type used by the Spanish conquerors who, led by Hernán Cortés, invaded the Aztec empire in the 16th century. The name of this station comes from the area in which it is now located, which was known as the Villa de Cortés in colonial times.
Metro Nativitas
Metro Nativitas is a station on Line 2 of the Mexico City Metro system. It is located in the Colonia Nativitas and Colonia Lago neighborhoods of Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City, directly south of the city centre on Calzada de Tlalpan. It is a surface station. The station logo depicts a trajinera – a type of small punt-style boat, still used today in the canals of Xochimilco.

Metro Portales is a station on Line 2 of the Mexico City Metro system. It is located in the Colonia Albert and Colonia Portales neighborhoods of the Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City, directly south of the city centre in the median of Calzada de Tlalpan. It is a surface station. The station logo depicts an architectural portal. In the early 20th century there were many ranches in the surrounding zone, which were later divided up by Emiliano Zapata as part of his land redistribution plans.

Ermita is a station on Line 2 and Line 12 of the of the Mexico City Metro system. According to the Sistema de Transporte Colectivo, Ermita serves as a transfer station of Line 12. It is located in the Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City, directly south of the city centre on Calzada de Tlalpan. It is a surface station. The station logo depicts a chapel: the Spanish word ermita means a small chapel constructed outside a church.
Metro Etiopía
Metro Etiopía / Plaza de la Transparencia (formerly known as Metro Etiopía) is a metro station on the Mexico City Metro. It is located in the Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City. The station logo depicts the head of a lion, a symbol of the African country of Ethiopia. Its name is given from the Etiopía traffic circle which existed in the same location before the construction of the subway station. This square was donated by the government of Ethiopia.
Metro Zapata
Metro Zapata is a station on Line 3 and Line 12 of the Mexico City Metro. The station serves both lines as a transfer station and as the northwestern terminus of Line 12. The station logo depicts Emiliano Zapata, a national hero from the Mexican Revolution of 1910–1921. This station used to be the terminus of Line 3; while the line has since been extended south, it still plays an important role in the transportation of the city's inhabitants. The metro station was opened on 25 August 1980.
Metro División del Norte
Metro División del Norte is a metro station along Line 3 of the Mexico City Metro. It is located in the Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City. The station logo represents Revolutionary hero Pancho Villa, leader of the División del Norte of revolutionary soldiers during the Mexican Revolution of 1910. Its name is taken from the nearby Avenida División del Norte. The station has a cultural display. The station opened on 25 August 1980.
Metro Eugenia
Metro Eugenia is a metro station along Line 3 of the Mexico City Metro. It is located in the Colonia Vertiz Narvarte and Colonia del Valle neighbourhoods of the Benito Juárez borough of Mexico City. The station logo depicts a stork, and its name refers to the avenue above the station. The name Eugenia literally means "The well born", so the stork is a birth symbol. The station opened on 25 August 1980.
Alberca Olímpica Francisco Márquez
The Alberca Olímpica Francisco Márquez is an indoor swimming pool Olympic facility located in Mexico City, Mexico. It has a capacity of 10,000. It hosted the 1968 Summer Olympics for competitions of swimming, diving, water polo, and the swimming part of modern pentathlon. The only Mexican gold medal in Olympic swimming competitions was won at this site. It was won by Felipe Muñoz in the 200 metres men breast stroke competition.
Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera
The Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera is an indoor arena located in Mexico City, Mexico. At the 1968 Summer Olympics, it hosted the volleyball competitions.
Estudios Churubusco
Estudios Churubusco is one of the oldest and largest movie studios in Latin America located in the Churubusco neighborhood of Mexico City. It was inaugurated in 1945 after a 1943 agreement between RKO and Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta. In 1950 it was acquired by the government of Mexico and merged with Estudios y Laboratorios Azteca to form Estudios Churubusco Azteca. Since 1958 it has been controlled by the government of Mexico.
Colonia del Valle
Colonia del Valle is a neighborhood in the Benito Juarez borough of Mexico City. It includes "... a great number of parks, vast and tree-lined streets, prestigious shopping malls, and some city landmarks...". However, Colonia del Valle has been referred to as a "crime-ridden neighborhood", and it is the second most dangerous neighborhood in Mexico City. It has been mentioned to be as dangerous as Tepito and Colonia Doctores.
Metro Lázaro Cárdenas
Metro Lázaro Cárdenas (Spanish: Estación Lázaro Cárdenas) is on Line 9 of the Mexico City Metro System between Metro Centro Médico and Metro Chabacano at the intersection of Eje Central and Eje 3 Sur. It links to the Eje Central Trolebus line. The station is named after Lázaro Cárdenas, and the station logo shows a portrait in profile of him.
Museo Nacional de las Intervenciones
The Museo Nacional de las Intervenciones (National Museum of the Interventions) is located in a former monastery, which was built on top of an Aztec shrine. The museum in split into two sections. The downstairs is dedicated to the site’s history as a monastery, and the upstairs rooms are dedicated to artifacts related to the various military conflicts that have taken place on Mexican soil and how these have shaped the modern Mexican republic.
Colonia Algarín
Colonia Algarín is a very small working class residential neighborhood located south of the historic center of Mexico City. Its border to the north is Eje 3 Sur José Peón Contreras, to the south Viaducto Miguel Alemán, to the east San Antonio Abad Ave (Calzada de Tlalpan) and to the west Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas. Colonia Algarín is located between colonias Buenos Aires (Eje Central), Álamos (Viaducto), Obrera and Asturias (San Antonio Abad).
Colonia Asturias
Colonia Asturias is a colonia or neighborhood in the Cuauhtémoc borough, south of the historic center of Mexico City. It is a lower-class residential neighborhood, whose borders are formed by the following streets, Calles Hernánde y Dávales in the north, Viaducto Piedad in the south, Calzada de la Viga in the east and Calzaca San Antonio Abad in the west.
Colonia Buenos Aires
Colonia Buenos Aires is a colonia of the Cuauhtémoc borough located south of the historic center of Mexico City. This colonia is primarily known for its abundance of dealers selling used car parts, and an incident when six youths were executed by police. About half of the colonia’s residents make a living from car parts, but these businesses have a reputation for selling stolen merchandise.

Leon Trotsky Museum, Mexico City
The Leon Trotsky House Museum is a museum honoring Leon Trotsky and an organization that works to promote political asylum, located in the Coyoacán borough of Mexico City. The center of the complex is the house in which Trotsky lived with his wife from 1939 to 1940, and where the Russian dissident was murdered. The house has been kept as it was at that time, especially the study in which a Stalin supporter killed Trotsky with an ice axe to the back of the head.
