Huangpu District, Shanghai
Huangpu, is the most central of all Shanghai's 18 districts and makes up the eastern part of Shanghai's traditional urban core. The central district is the location of the city hall, The Bund, and the extremelly popular commercial areas including the famous Nanjing Road, Huaihai Road, and Xintiandi. Huangpu is one of the most densely populated urban districts in the world.
The Bund
The Bund is a waterfront area in central Shanghai. The area centres on a section of Zhongshan Road (East-1 Zhongshan Road) within the former Shanghai International Settlement, which runs along the western bank of the Huangpu River, facing Pudong, in the eastern part of Huangpu District. The Bund usually refers to the buildings and wharves on this section of the road, as well as some adjacent areas. It is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Shanghai.
Nanjing Road (Shanghai)
Nanjing Road is the main shopping street of Shanghai, China, and is one of the world's busiest shopping streets. Today's Nanjing Road comprises two sections, Nanjing Road East and Nanjing Road West. In some contexts, "Nanjing Road" refers only to what was pre-1945 Nanjing Road, today's Nanjing Road East, which is largely pedestrianised. Prior to 1949, the road's English name was rendered "Nanking Road" using the standard romanization of the time.
Bund Center
Bund Center is a 198 m, 50-storey tower in the Huangpu area of Shanghai, China. Designed by the architects of John Portman and Associates, the tower was completed in 2002.
Customs House, Shanghai
The Customs House is an eight storey building on the Bund, Shanghai. Built in 1927, the building remains a customs house today. Together with the neighbouring HSBC Building, the Customs House is seen as one of the symbols of the Bund and Shanghai.
HSBC Building, the Bund
The HSBC Building is a six-floor neo-classical building in the Bund area of Shanghai, China. It was the headquarters of the Shanghai branch of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation from 1923 to 1955. The building is situated at number 12, the Bund. It is also known as the Municipal Government Building. Currently it houses the Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. Construction began on 5 May 1921, and completed in 23 June 1923. This building was built in the style of neo-classicism in China.

The General Post Office Building is a landmark four story building located at the north end of the Sichuan Road Bridge, Shanghai, China on the banks of the Suzhou Creek.
East Nanjing Road Station
East Nanjing Road Station is an interchange station between Lines 2 and 10 on the Shanghai Metro. It is located in Huangpu District, under the intersection of Nanjing Road (E. ) and Henan Road (M. ) in the city center of Shanghai. Before October 2006, it was known as Middle Henan Road station.
Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center
The Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center is located on People's Square, Shanghai, China, adjacent to the municipal government building. The Exhibition Center is a six-story building, with two basement levels, which displays Shanghai's urban planning and development. The focus of the exhibit is a large scale model of the entirety of urban Shanghai, showing existing buildings and approved future buildings.
