When completed in 2004, it was the most expensive Formula One circuit facility, costing $240 million. The 2005 Chinese Grand Prix was the final Formula One motor race of the 2005 Formula One season, which took place from October 14–16, 2005 at the Shanghai International Circuit. The 2007 Chinese Grand Prix was the sixteenth race of the 2007 Formula One season. It was held on 5–7 October at Shanghai International Circuit, Shanghai, China.
