Jiangyin Suspension Bridge
The Jiangyin Suspension Bridge was the most seaward bridge to cross the Yangtze River of China at the time of its completion, however, the recently completed Sutong Bridge and Shanghai Yangtze Bridge/Tunnel are now more seaward. It connects the cities of Jiangyin and Jingjiang. The main span of the bridge is 1,385 metres meters long, making it the seventh-longest span suspension bridge in the world and the largest in China at the time of its completion in 1999.
Jingjiang is a county-level city in China's Jiangsu province. It is located on the northern bank of the Yangtze river. Originally belonging to the Yangzhou Prefecture-level city, Jingjiang was transferred to the Taizhou Prefecture-level city in 1996. The area of Jingjiang is 673 square kilometres and the population is 660,000.
Huaxi Village, located east of the city of Jiangyin, in Jiangsu province, claims to be the richest village in China. Wu Renbao, the former secretary of Huaxi Village Communist Party Committee, developed a plan to turn what used to be a poor rural locality into a modern rich community. Xinyi-Changxing Railway or Xinchang Railway, also known as the Xinchang Line, is a single-track railroad in eastern China between the cities of Xinyi, Jiangsu Province and Changxing County in Zhejiang Province. It runs north-south through the entire length of Jiangsu Province and northern tip of Zhejiang. Major cities along route include Huaian, Yancheng, Haian, Jingjiang, Jiangyin and Yixing. Including a 62.5km spur from Haian to Nantong, the Xinchang Railway is 638 km in total length.
Jiangyin Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Jiangyin, China. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 30,161 spectators. It opened in 2010.
