Floyd County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The county, founded in 1800, is named for Colonel John Floyd (1750–1783). As of 2010, the population was 39,451. Its county seat is Prestonsburg.

Allen Central High School (ACHS) is a secondary school located in Eastern, Floyd County, Kentucky, U.S.A. , and is one of four public high schools in the Floyd County School system.
