Vefa Kilise Mosque
Vefa Kilise Mosque is a former Eastern Orthodox church converted into a mosque by the Ottomans in Istanbul. The church was possibly dedicated to Hagios Theodoros (St. Theodore, in Greek: Ἁγίος Θεοδόρος τά Καρβουνάρια), but this dedication is far from certain. The complex represents one of the most important examples of Comnenian and Palaiologan architecture of Constantinople.

Valens Aqueduct

The Pertevniyal Valide Sultan Mosque, also known as the Aksaray Valide Mosque (Turkish: Pertevniyal Valide Sultan Camii, Aksaray Valide Sultan Camii), is an Ottoman imperial mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. It is located at the intersection of Ordu Street and Atatürk Boulevard in the Aksaray neighborhood. It is located next to Pertevniyal High School which was also built by the order of Sultana Pertevniyal in 1872.
Vefa
Vefa is a neighborhood of Istanbul. It is part of the district of Fatih and managed as borough of Mollahüsrev, inside the walled city. It belonged to Eminönü between 1928 and 2008. It lies roughly northwest of the eastern section of the Aqueduct of Valens, and is rich of monuments, both Byzantine, like the mosques of Kalenderhane and Vefa Kilise, and Ottoman, like the Süleymaniye Mosque.
Philadelphion
The Philadelphion was a public square located in Constantinople. After passing the Forum of Theodosius, the Mese Odos (the main road of Constantinople) branched into two directions. One led to the quarter known today as Yedikule, via the Aksaray and Cerrahpaşa quarters. The other passed through the quarters of Şehzadebaşı and Fatih until reaching the quarter of Edirnekapı (formerly the Gate of Charisius).
Church of St. Polyeuctus
The Church of St. Polyeuctus (Greek: Ἅγιος Πολύευκτος, Hagios Polyeuktos) was an ancient Byzantine church in Constantinople built by the noblewoman Anicia Juliana and dedicated to Saint Polyeuctus. Intended as an assertion of Juliana's own imperial lineage, it was a lavishly decorated building, and the largest church of the city before the construction of the Hagia Sophia.
Atik Ali Pasha Mosque
The Atik Ali Pasha Mosque (Turkish: Gazi Atik Ali Paşa Camii) is an old Ottoman mosque located in the Çemberlitaş neighbourhood of Fatih district in Istanbul, Turkey. It was built by Grand Vizier Bosnalı Hadım Atik Ali Paşa in 1496, during the reign of Sultan Beyazıt II. The mosque is located near the entrance to the Kapalıçarşı (Grand Bazaar), Column of Constantine and the historical Nuruosmaniye Mosque.
Aviation Martyrs' Monument
The Aviation Martyrs' Monument (Turkish: Hava Şehitleri Anıtı or formerly Tayyare Şehitleri Abidesi), located in Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey, is a memorial dedicated to the first soldiers of the Ottoman aviation squadrons to be killed in flight accidents. In Islam, one use of the term "martyrs" is as an honorific for Muslims who have died fighting defending their country.
Mosque with the Spiral Minaret
The Mosque with the Spiral Minaret (Turkish: Burmalı Mescit Camii or Burmalı Minare Camii) is a 16th century Ottoman mosque in Şarachane park, Fatih district, Istanbul, Turkey. Built in 1550 on behalf of Emin Nuretti Efendi, qadi 'asker of Egypt, it is named for its spiraling (burmalı) brick minaret, a copy of a Seljuq design that is unique in Istanbul. The mosque is not domed, but has a pitched porch, which rests on four reused Byzantine Corinthian stone columns.
Faculty of Arts and Sciences Building, Istanbul University
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) Building of Istanbul University is one of the larger faculty buildings of the university. It is situated in the Laleli neighborhood of Istanbul, Turkey. The building was constructed between 1942 and 1944. The architects were Sedat Hakkı Eldem (1908-1988) and Emin Halid Onat (1908-1961). The German architect Paul Bonatz (1877-1956) also acted as an adviser during his brief stay in Turkey.
Balaban Aga Mosque
Balaban Aga Mosque was a mosque in Istanbul, Turkey, converted from a former Byzantine building. Its usage during the Byzantine era is unclear. The small edifice - pulled down in 1930 to open a new road - was a minor example of architecture of the Byzantine early period in Constantinople.
