Newmarket, New Zealand
Newmarket is an Auckland suburb to the south-east of the central business district. With its high building density, especially of retail shops, it is considered New Zealand's premier retailing area, and a rival of local competitor Auckland CBD. It is also considered the fashion capital of New Zealand.
Boston Road Railway Station
Boston Road Railway Station was on the Western Line of the Auckland Suburban Railway Network, near St Peter's College and Auckland Grammar School. The station was below State Highway 1, one of the busiest motorways in New Zealand. At the southern end of the station is the north western wall of Mt Eden Prison. The station closed on 10 April 2010, the day after the opening of the new Grafton station, and has since been largely demolished.

Parnell is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. It is often billed as Auckland's "oldest suburb" since it dates from the earliest days of the European settlement of Auckland in 1841. To its west lies the Auckland Domain, to the south Newmarket, and to the north the commercial area of St Georges Bay with mainly office-space. Parnell Rise and Parnell Road make up the main road through Parnell.
Epsom Girls' Grammar School
Epsom Girls Grammar School is a state secondary school for girls ranging from years 9 to 13 in Auckland, New Zealand. It had a roll of 2,200 as of 2012, including a number of boarders who live in nearby Epsom House, making it one of the largest schools in New Zealand. The principal is Madeline Gunn. She succeeds a long line of distinguished educators such as Margaret Bendall and Miss Adams.
Government House, Auckland
The site of the present day Government House, Auckland was first built upon in the 1880s or 1890s, although some of the trees are slightly older, dating from the 1870s. The House is much smaller than the Wellington Government House, being designed as a family home. Sir Frank Mappin, 6th Baronet and his wife Lady Mappin bought the property in 1921 and spent the next 45 years, after building the residence, developing and landscaping the grounds. The house was originally called Birchlands.
Westfield 277 Newmarket
Two Double Seven (officially known as Westfield 277 Newmarket) is a medium sized shopping centre with upmarket shops located at 277 Broadway, in the Newmarket suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. It features a Countdown, a nearby Farmers and about 60 speciality stores. In 2005, it had retail sales of NZ$120 million. It contains the New Zealand head offices of the Westfield Group, and another new Westfield-owned shopping development, Nuffield Street, is nearby.
Newmarket Viaduct
The Newmarket Viaduct, sometimes considered 'one of the most distinctive engineering features' of New Zealand, is a six-lane State highway viaduct in Auckland, the country's largest city. Carrying the Southern Motorway over the Newmarket suburb area southeast of the CBD of the city, the 700 m long viaduct is up to 20 m high in places.
Newmarket Workshops
Newmarket Workshops in Auckland was a major New Zealand Railways Department facility, one of 13 workshops nationwide. It was one of two main railway workshops of Auckland, used mainly for maintenance; the older facility at Newmarket was replaced in 1929 by Otahuhu Workshops.
Parnell Tunnel
The Parnell Tunnel is a railway tunnel under Parnell, Auckland, New Zealand. It is 344.5 metres long, and allows the Western and Southern lines coming from Newmarket Train Station to Britomart Transport Centre to pass under the Parnell Ridge before the line drops to harbour level. In fact, the Parnell Tunnel is composed of two tunnels, an older single-track tunnel and a newer double-track tunnel, though the older tunnel is closed off and has not been in use for most of the last century.

Newmarket Park is an approximately 6 ha large park in Auckland, New Zealand. It is located in the triangle between three suburbs, northeast of the Newmarket, southeast of Parnell and northwest of Remuera. It is located partially on a higher, manmade plateau, with the remainder of the park dropping steeply down towards Newmarket Stream running to Hobson Bay along the eastern edge of the park.
