Geldermalsen
' is a municipality and a town in the western Netherlands. The municipality of Geldermalsen was formed on the 1 January 1978 when former municipalities Beesd, Buurmalsen, Deil and Geldermalsen were joined. The new municipality with approximately 10.173 hectares (100 x 100 m2) is one of the largest municipalities in the Western Betuwe. On 1 January 2008 the municipality had 26,295 inhabitants. They all live in one of the eleven villages that form Geldermalsen.

Zaltbommel [zɑɫdˈbɔməɫ zɑɫdˈbɔməɫ] is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands. The town of Zaltbommel was first mentioned as "Bomela" in the year 850. Zaltbommel first received city status in 1231, which status was renewed in 1316. Dorestad
In the Early Middle Ages, Dorestad was the largest settlement of northwestern Europe. It was a large, flourishing trading place, three kilometers long, situated where the rivers Rhine and Lek diverge southeast of Utrecht in the Netherlands near the modern town of Wijk bij Duurstede. In Roman times a Roman fortress was built there that was still in use during the existence of Dorestad. Between 600 and around 719 Dorestad was often fought over between the Frisians and the Franks.

Beusichem is historically known for a famous horsemarket held every summer. It is said that even Napoleon bought his horses on the Beusichem horsemarket. Horsekeepers from Russia, France, Germany and Switzerland came to Beusichem to trade horses. The horsemarket is mentioned in old documents for the first time in 1461.

Pothuizen
Pothuizen is a former village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It was located on the Lek river north of Culemborg, and stretched along the Lek dike on both sides of the Schalkwijkse Wetering. The area was part of the heerlijkheid of Schalkwijk, and later the municipality Schalkwijk, which became part of Houten in 1962. Around 1850, Pothuizen had about 140 inhabitants in 10 houses. The name "Pothuizen" appeared on topographical maps until the end of the 19th century.

EVA lanxmeer (Eva-Lanxmeer or E.V.A. Lanxmeer) is the name of a éco-quartier (240 houses) built from 1994 to 2009 in the Dutch town of Culemborg in the Netherlands. It is an environmentally friendly housing development. It was initiated by Marleen Kaptein, who was looking for a more sustainable way of building housing in urban areas. The project was a strong partnership among future inhabitants and the city of Culemborg, consultants and other people.

Restaurant Duurstede is a former restaurant located in Wijk bij Duurstede, Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the periods 1977-1995. De restaurant was founded in 1974 by head chef Paul Fagel. Fagel was more artist than businessman and went bankrupt. The Dutch Revenue Service seized the restaurant in 1993 and auctioned it off. The new owner leased it to Erik van Loo, who retained the stars till 1995.

Restaurant Gravin van Buren was a restaurant located in Buren, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1986-1995. Owner and head chef was Austrian Walter Bloier. Gravin van Buren is a former member of the Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise. Bloier changed course with his restaurant in 2007 and therefore ended the membership. In 2011, Bloier closed down the restaurant and retired.
