Pelješac Bridge
The Pelješac Bridge is the name of a planned bridge in Croatia the construction of which had started but stalled and was canceled. The bridge is intended to connect the Croatian peninsula of Pelješac with the Croatian mainland, spanning the Adriatic Sea, which separates the two near the Bay of Mali Ston and the Neretva Channel. The bridge is no longer under construction as of 2012, and it has been a contentious political issue since the inception of the idea.
