Saint Valentine's Day Massacre
The Saint Valentine's Day Massacre is the name given to the 1929 murder of seven mob associates as part of a prohibition era conflict between two powerful criminal gangs in Chicago: the South Side Italian gang led by Al Capone and the North Side Irish gang led by Bugs Moran. Former members of the Egan's Rats gang were also suspected of having played a significant role in the incident, assisting Capone.

The adjacent stations are Armitage, which is located about one mile (1.6 km) to the northwest, and Chicago, located about one mile (1.6 km) to the south.
St. Michael's Church, Old Town, Chicago
St. Michael's Church in the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago is a Roman Catholic church staffed by the Redemptorist order of priests. The parish was founded to minister to German Catholic immigrants in 1852 with its first wooden church completed that year at a cost of $750 (including the bell). The building stands at an intersection between Eugenie and Cleveland street. The church was built as a haven for German immigrants who were outcasts in Old Chicago.
International Museum of Surgical Science
The International Museum of Surgical Science is a museum located in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. It is operated by the International College of Surgeons and features exhibits dealing with various aspects of Eastern and Western medicine. It was founded by Dr. Max Thorek in 1954. Housed in a 1917 mansion designed by Howard Van Doren Shaw as a replica of a building at Versailles, the museum hosts about 20,000 visitors a year.
Carl Sandburg Village
Carl Sandburg Village is a Chicago urban renewal project of the 1960s in the Near North Side community area of Chicago. It was named in honor of Carl Sandburg. Financed by the city, it is between Clark and LaSalle Streets between Division Street and North Avenue. Solomon Cordwell Buenz was the architect. The intent of the development was to buffer the encroaching blight from the north and west to the Gold Coast neighborhood in Chicago.

The Pump Room, established October 1, 1938, by Ernie Byfield, is a restaurant located in the Public Chicago Hotel, formerly The Ambassador East, in Chicago's Gold Coast area. The restaurant served a number of celebrities who were regular customers and has been written about in books and articles. Lucius Beebe, gourmand, author and journalist, included references to The Pump Room in some of his books and articles.
Abraham Lincoln: The Man
Abraham Lincoln: The Man (also called Standing Lincoln) is a larger-than-life size bronze statue of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States. The original statue is in Lincoln Park in Chicago, and several replicas have been installed in other places around the world. Completed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1887, it has been described as the most important sculpture of Lincoln from the 19th century. Abraham Lincoln II, Lincoln's only grandson, was present at the unveiling.
Palmer Mansion
The Palmer Mansion, constructed 1882–1885 at 1350 N. Lake Shore Drive, was once the largest private residence in Chicago, Illinois, located in the Near North Side neighborhood and facing Lake Michigan. It was designed by architects Henry Ives Cobb and Charles Sumner Frost of the firm Cobb and Frost and built for Bertha and Potter Palmer. Palmer was a prominent Chicago businessman who was responsible for much of the development of State Street.
Polish Consulate General, Chicago
The Consulate-General of Poland in Chicago is Poland's diplomatic mission in Chicago, Illinois, United States; it is situated in Chicago on account of that city's central location in the United States and the large number of Polish Americans in Chicago and the Midwest. It is located at 1530 North Lake Shore Drive in the Gold Coast area of the Near North Side region. The building that houses the consulate opened in 1916 as a private residence. The Polish government bought the house in 1974.
Larrabee (CTA station)
Larrabee, also known as Larrabee & Ogden, was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's North Side Main Line, which is now part of the Brown Line. The station was located at 1540 N. Larrabee Street in the Near North Side neighborhood of Chicago. Larrabee was situated east of Halsted, which closed at the same time as Larrabee, and north of Sedgwick. Larrabee opened on June 6, 1900, and closed on August 1, 1949, along with 22 other stations as part of a CTA service revision.
A Red Orchid Theatre
A Red Orchid Theatre is an ensemble theatre located in the Old Town district of Chicago now its twentieth year of producing. It opened in 1993. Previous productions include Eugene Ionesco's The Killer and 'Tis Pity She's a Whore by John Ford, world premiers of Tracy Letts' Bug and Craig Wright's Mistakes Were Made as well as other new and canonical plays.
Cooley Vocational High School
Cooley Vocational High School (known as Cooley High) was a public 4-year vocational high school and upper grade center located in the Old Town neighborhood on the near north side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. It was part of Chicago Public Schools. It was adjacent to the Cabrini–Green housing development. It was named for Chicago Public Schools Superintendent, Edwin Gilbert Cooley. Cooley Vocational High School was the subject of the 1975 film Cooley High.
Near North Career Metropolitan High School
Near North Career Metropolitan High School (also known as Near North Career Magnet High School) was a public 4-year magnet high school located on the Near North Side of Chicago, Illinois, USA. It was part of Chicago Public Schools. The school was in use from 1979 until late 2001. Its sports teams were named the Huskies.
Three Arts Club of Chicago
The Three Arts Club of Chicago was a Chicago home and club for women in the "three arts" of music, painting and drama. The club, modelled on the Three Arts Club of New York, was founded in 1912. In 1914 the club commissioned their own building, designed by architects Holabird & Roche. This building provided a residential space continuously until 2003, when the last of the residents moved out. In 2007 the building was sold to developers. Over 13,000 women had stayed in the club.
