Holy Cross High School (River Grove, Illinois)
Holy Cross High School was an all-boys, Roman Catholic high school in River Grove, Illinois, USA that operated from August 1961 until June 2004. In December, 2003, the school announced that they no longer had enough funding or interest in enrollment to continue. Only 79 students took the entrance exam for the 2004-2005 school year, and at least 125 were necessary to keep the school open.

The Thirsty Whale
The Thirsty Whale, which has been open since at least 1975, was a legendary rock and roll club at 8800 Grand Avenue, River Grove, Illinois. It brought in acts like Molly Hatchet, Black Oak Arkansas, Extreme, Foghat, Johnny Winter and Peter Criss. Survivor performed here monthly early in their career. The club began to be a showcase for local Chicago area hard rock and heavy metal bands such as Enuff Z'nuff, D'Molls, Wicked Ryhme, and others from the mid 80s through its closing in 1996.
Kiddieland Amusement Park
Kiddieland Amusement Park, was an amusement park located just west of Chicago at the corner of North Avenue and First Avenue in Melrose Park, Illinois. It was home to several classic rides including the Little Dipper roller coaster, which opened in 1929. The park closed on September 27, 2009, and demolished in 2010 to make way for a new Costco store.

Trains run from Harlem every 2–7 minutes during rush-hour periods, and take 30 - 45 minutes to travel to the Loop. O'Hare bound trains take 10 minutes to reach the airport from Harlem.
