Austin, Chicago
Austin, located on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois, is the largest (by population) of the city's 77 officially defined community areas, followed by Lake View. Its eastern boundary is the Belt Railway located just east of Cicero Avenue. Its northernmost border is the Milwaukee District/West Line. Its southernmost border is at Roosevelt Road from the Belt Railway west to Austin Boulevard. The northernmost portion, north of North Avenue, extends west to Harlem Avenue, abutting Elmwood Park.

WCPT is a progressive talk radio station licensed to Willow Springs, Illinois, and serving the Chicago area. The station carries programming from Dial Global. WCPT is owned by Newsweb Corporation. Because WCPT shares the same frequency as clear channel station WBAP in Fort Worth, Texas, it broadcasts only during the daytime hours. However, WCPT has a construction permit and has erected 6 towers near Joliet, IL to offer nighttime operation at 1.5 kW.

It was opened in September 1959 for males only, adding females decades later. Prior to the summer of 1998 the school's name was Prosser Vocational High School. The school is named for Charles Allen Prosser, an educator who pioneered vocational education. During their first year, students enroll in the Freshman Academy which eases the transition into high school.

Cragin is a closed station on Metra's Milwaukee District/West Line. The station was located at 1912 N. LeClaire St. in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Cragin was 7.0 miles from Union Station, the eastern terminus of the Milwaukee District/West Line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Cragin was located in zone B. On December 11, 2006, Cragin and the nearby Hermosa station were closed and replaced by the Grand/Cicero station, which is located between both former stations.

The Mary Greenlees Yerkes House (also known as the "Mrs. Charles Yerkes House"), is a 1912 prairie style house in Oak Park, Illinois by American architect John S. Van Bergen for Mary Greenlees Yerkes, the widow of Charles Sherman Yerkes and mother of somewhat noted impressionist artist Mary Agnes Yerkes. The home was featured in a book by Patrick Cannon, titled Prairie Metropolis. The house could be regarded as somewhat controversial in the fact that it was built for an unmarried widow.
