Kraft Nabisco Championship
The Kraft Nabisco Championship is one of the five major championships on the LPGA Tour. Founded in 1972 by entertainer Dinah Shore, it has been classified as a major since 1983. The event has been held annually at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California since its inception. The Palm Springs Convention Center is a 245,000 sq ft facility located in downtown Palm Springs, California. Architect William Pereira designed the original building in 1974. In 2005 the Convention Center completed a massive expansion, adding over 100,000 sq ft . It can accommodate groups from 12 to 12,000 people. The new design, by Fentress Architects, pulls colors and design elements from the surrounding desert. Additional meeting space is available at the attached 410 room convention hotel.
KGAM (AM)
KGAM was a commercial radio station in Palm Springs, California, broadcasting on 1450 AM. The frequency is now used for KPTR. KGAM aired talk programming. KGAM, along with KDES-FM, KWXY, and KPSI AM and FM, is licensed to R & R Radio Corporation which is owned by the Rozene R. Supple Trust. KGAM aired a wide range of talk shows, from Michael Savage and Dennis Miller to Dave Ramsey. The station also broadcast the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and the Oakland Raiders games.
KPSI (AM)
KPSI is a radio station broadcasting a News/Talk radio format. Licensed to Palm Springs, California, USA, the station serves the Palm Springs area. The station is currently owned by RR Broadcasting. Its lineup (as of the last website update in September 2006) included Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, a local sports-related show:"Da Coach's Soapbox"(with Rich Gilgallon) and Larry King. KPSI was also a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Lakers radio networks.

Kim had a one-foot (30 cm) putt on the 18th green to seal her first major title. The putt lipped out, forcing a playoff with Sun-Young Yoo, who also shot 69 in the final round.
