Galleria Ataköy
Galleria Ataköy, the first modern shopping mall in Turkey, is situated in the western suburb of Ataköy, Istanbul. It was built following the recommendation of then Prime Minister Turgut Özal, who was inspired by the shopping mall Houston Galleria in Houston, Texas, USA. Galleria Ataköy was opened in 1988 by Turgut Özal.

The best way to get there from a city center is to take a train from Sirkeci station to Yeşilköy.

The Florya Metin Oktay Sports Complex and Training Center (Turkish: Florya Metin Oktay Tesisleri) is the training ground and academy base of the Turkish football club Galatasaray SK. The Florya training camp land was brought during the presidency of Suphi Batur, built and opened during Professor Ali Uras presidency and was expanded and improved during both Ali Tanriyar and Alp Yalman presidencies. It was opened on August 1, 1981.

The TurkuaZoo is a public aquarium located in Bayrampaşa in Istanbul, Turkey. It is the first public aquarium in Turkey, and was the largest aquarium in Europe when it opened in 2009. In addition to being a major tourist attraction for Istanbul, the aquarium is a centre for marine research and conservation.

It was opened in 1989. The rink is run by the company "Galleria Buz Pateni Pisti", a subsidiary of the shopping mall. The venue hosts all kinds of ice sports events in Istanbul including Turkish ice hockey leagues for men's, women's and junior's. It is home to the ice hockey club Istanbul Paten Kulübü.
Ataköy Athletics Arena
Ataköy Athletics Arena (Turkish: Ataköy Atletizm Salonu), is an indoor sporting arena for track and field athletics events located in Ataköy neighborhood of Bakırköy, Istanbul. The venue was constructed special for the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships to be held in March 9–11, 2012. It is situated next to the Sinan Erdem Dome, where the training activities are being held. The arena will be the first indoor athletics venue of the country as such.

ÇNAEM
The Çekmece Nuclear Research and Training Center (Turkish: Çekmece Nükleer Araştırma ve Eğitim Merkezi), known as ÇNAEM, is the primary nuclear research and training center of Turkey. The organization was established on March 6, 1958 as a subunit of Turkish Atomic Energy Administration (Turkish: Türkiye Atom Enerjisi Kurumu, TAEK) at Küçükçekmece district in the west of Istanbul. The organization's name was coined on August 12, 1960 in conjunction with its location.
