Liemeer
' is a former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. It was merged into the municipality of Nieuwkoop on January 1, 2007. The municipality covered an area of 30.98 km² of which 0.76 km² is water. Its population was 6962 in November 2006. Liemeer consisted of the communities Nieuwveen, Noorden, Vrouwenakker, and Zevenhoven.
Mijdrecht
Mijdrecht is a town in the municipality of De Ronde Venen, in the Netherlands. It is located 7 kilometres west of the main A2 motorway, between Utrecht and Amsterdam. Its population is around 16,000. The statistical area "Aarlanderveen", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 500. Aarlanderveen was a separate municipality until 1918, when it became part of Alphen aan den Rijn.
De Hoef, Utrecht
De Hoef is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of De Ronde Venen, and lies about 13 km northeast of Alphen aan den Rijn. On 1 January 2005, it had 928 inhabitants (500 male, 428 female). Flowing through the village is a meandering river called "de Kromme Mijdrecht", the width of which varies between about 8 and 35 metres. On average, it is used by about two freight ships per day, but in summer the river is full of pleasure boats.
Polsbroek
Polsbroek is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Lopik, and lies about 10 km southeast of Gouda. The village of Polsbroek consists of a ribbon of farms on both sides of the Benschopse Wetering, with a small centre on the west side of the village. In 2001, the village centre of Polsbroek had 421 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.06 km², and contained 143 residences.

Noord-Polsbroek was the northern half of Polsbroek, north of the small river the Benschopse Wetering. Around 1850, the municipality had a population of about 410.

's-Gravesloot is a former hamlet and municipality in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It was located between Kamerik and Woerden. 's-Gravesloot was a heerlijkheid owned by the province of Utrecht until 1751, when it was sold to a private owner. When the current municipal system was introduced in the Netherlands in 1812, it became part of Kamerik. When that municipality was split into three parts, 's-Gravesloot became a separate municipality again.

Kamerik-Houtdijken is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It existed from 1818 to 1857, after which it merged with 's-Gravesloot, Kamerik-Mijzijde, and Teckop, to form the new municipality of Kamerik. During that time, it had about 620 inhabitants, in three polders: Kamerik-Teylingens, Groot-Houtdijk, and Klein-Houtdijk. This included the village of Oud-Kamerik, the hamlet Houtdijken, and half of the village of Kamerik.

Vliet is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is located about 1 km southwest of the city of Oudewater, on the south bank of the Hollandsche IJssel. Vliet was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1846, when it became part of Haastrecht. During that time, the area was part of the province of South Holland. According to the 19th century historian A.J. van der Aa, there was no hamlet in the area in the middle of the 19th century.

Vrijhoeven
Vrijhoeven (also Vrijenhoeven or De Vrijen Hoef) is a former hamlet and former municipality in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located about 2 km south of the village of Ter Aar. According to the 19th-century historian A.J. van der Aa, Vrijhoeven was a part of the heerlijkheid (manorial fief) of Aarlanderveen in the middle of the sixteenth century. In 1625 it became a separate jurisdiction.
Goejanverwellesluis
The Goejanverwellesluis is a lock in Hekendorp, Netherlands. The 'Goejannen' - the men from the surrounding polders who went to sea - said their last farewells by this channel. According to the tradition, Wilhelmina of Prussia, wife of stadholder William V was captured here on 28 June 1787 by the Patriots from Gouda. In reality, her entourage were arrested at Bonrepas on the river Vlist, on the way to Schoonhoven near Haastrecht.
Gouda railway station
Gouda is a railway station in Gouda, the Netherlands. The station opened on 21 May 1855 when the Nederlandsche Rhijnspoorweg-Maatschappij (Dutch Rijn Railway Company) opened the Utrecht–Rotterdam railway. The Gouda–Den Haag railway to The Hague was opened in 1870, and the connection to Alphen a/d Rijn in 1934. Trains running between Den Haag Centraal / Rotterdam Centraal and Utrecht Centraal call at the station, as well as the RijnGouweLijn connection to Alphen a/d Rijn.
Krimpenerwaard
The Krimpenerwaard, located in the province of South Holland in the Netherlands, is the rural area just south of Gouda and just east of the Rotterdam conurbation. It is borderd on the north by the river Hollandse IJssel, on the south by the river Lek and on the east by the stream Vlist.
