Hilversum
Hilversum is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. Located in the region called "'t Gooi", it is the largest town in that area. It is surrounded by heathland, woods, meadows, lakes, and smaller villages. Hilversum is part of the Randstad, one of the largest conurbations in Europe.
Eurovision Song Contest 1958
The Eurovision Song Contest 1958 was the third Eurovision Song Contest and was held on 12 March 1958 in Hilversum. The convention that the winning country from a year hosted the following year's contest was introduced in this year. France's win was their first. It was the last time to date that the United Kingdom did not enter the contest. Unlike the first competition in 1956, the 1958 contest continued with the policy implemented in 1957 wherein each country was limited to one song entry.
Almere Haven
Almere Haven is the oldest part of Almere. Although Almere Haven does not have its own railway station, it is well-connected to Amsterdam and the rest of Almere by a good bus rapid transit system. Almere Haven has a small harbour with ferry connections to the Dutch mainland, and is surrounded by large forests of poplars containing buzzards, foxes, small deer, and owls. The closest forests are Het Beginbos and Waterlandsebos.
Soestdijk
Soestdijk was a village in the municipality of Soest, Utrecht, Netherlands and gives its name to Paleis Soestdijk, which from 1937 to 2004 was the residence of Princess and later Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard (who both died in 2004). Most of Soestdijk is now a part of the city of Soest. A smaller part of the former village, including the palace, is part of the municipality of Baarn.

Mitsubishi Forklift Stadion
Mitsubishi Forklift Stadion is a multi-use stadium in Almere, Netherlands. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Almere City F.C.. The stadium is able to hold 3,000 people and was built in 2005.
The Golden Cage (TV series)
De Gouden Kooi (The Golden Cage) was the original concept and working title for Big Brother. In 2006, it was revived and turned into another format of reality television. The idea for De Gouden Kooi was born on 4 September 1997 during a brainstorm session at the John de Mol Produkties production house, an independent branch of Endemol. Participants were John de Mol himself, Patrick Scholtze, Bart Römer and his brother Paul Römer.

Almere Stad is a district of the city Almere in the Dutch province Flevoland. The first houses in Almere Stad were finished in 1980. Nowadays there are several residential areas, offices, industrial areas, parks, and a lake. The city hall as well as a regional hospital are located in Almere Stad. Naarderbos
Naarderbos is a recreational area in the Gooi region in the province of North Holland in the Netherlands. It is situated on the shores of the Gooimeerlake and is part of the city of Naarden. It consists partly of woodland and meadows and has a villa closed community also referred to as "Naarderwoonbos". This community consists of approx. 180 villas, which each having its own boat pier as well as a public 18 hole golf course. A beach was created and 3 urban villas were erected during 2007.
Eemdijk
Eemdijk is a small village on the river Eem in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It lies in the municipality of Bunschoten, about 3 km east of Bunschoten-Spakenburg, and has a population of about 800. Formerly, most of the population consisted of farmers or factory workers. The village has a small ferry, which is still in use (except on Sundays). The singer Drs. P recorded the video clip for his song De veerpont ("The ferry") in Eemdijk.

Almere Buiten is a district in the municipality of Almere in the Dutch province of Flevoland. The district houses 49.552 (2006) residents. Almere Buiten is made up of the following neighbourhoods: Bloemenbuurt, Bouwmeesterbuurt, Eilandenbuurt, Faunabuurt, Landgoederenbuurt, Molenbuurt, Oostvaardersbuurt, Regenboogbuurt, Stripheldenbuurt, Seizoenenbuurt, Indischebuurt and Sieradenbuurt. De Vaart, Buitenvaart and Poldervlak are industrial areas.
Gooimeer
The Gooimeer (Gooi Lake) is a bordering lake in the Netherlands between the southeastern part of North Holland ('t Gooi, het Gooi) and Flevoland. There is a railroad bridge over the narrow west side of it, between Weesp and Almere Muziekwijk, with a parallel highway A6 bridge, the Hollandse Brug. The narrow eastern border of the lake is crossed by two parallel highway A27 bridges, the Stichtse Brug.
Eemmeer
The Eemmeer is a lake situated in the middle of the Netherlands between the provinces of Flevoland and Utrecht, Noord-Holland. It measures 13.4 square kilometres and contains one small island, the Dode Hond (Dead Dog). The Eemmeer is one in a series of peripheral lakes used to geohydrologically detach the low-lying polders of Flevoland from higher old mainland.

The Green Cathedral
The Green Cathedral or De Groene Kathedraal located near Almere Netherlands, is an artistic planting of Lombardy poplars (Populus nigra italica) that mimics the size and shape of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, Reims, France. The Green Cathedral is 150 m long and 75 m wide, and the mature poplar trees are approximately 30 m tall.
Eemmeerdijk Wind Park
Eemmeerdijk Wind Park is a wind park consisting of 19 turbines situated at Zeewolde, Netherlands. It is one of the few windparks using just wind turbines with two blades. It was built in 1998 and uses 19 wind turbines manufactured by NedWind with a 60 metres tall tower and a 55 metres large rotor.

Auberge la Provence
Auberge Postillion de la Provence is a former restaurant located in Laren, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the periods 1974-1989. Head chef in the Michelin period was Han de Wijs. The restaurant was founded in the 1960s by Martin Fagel. In 1969, he sold the restaurant to Han de Wijs. In 1989, De Wijs sold the restaurant to Stage Door B.V. , who went bankrupt in 1995. In July 1995, shortly after the bankruptcy, the restaurant burnt down.
Spandershoeve
Spandershoeve is a restaurant located in Hilversum, in the Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1998-2007. On the loss of their star, they did receive a Bib Gourmand what they have retained until 2012. Spandershoeve was the first restaurant with an Indonesian styled kitchen to receive a Michelin star. Gault Millau awarded the restaurant 13 out of 20 points. Head chef of Spandershoeve is Jordie James.
Almere Poort
Almere Poort is a district (stadsdeel) of Almere, Netherlands. It is the newest part of what is a new city itself, with the first building completed only in 2005. Although Almere is a planned city, Almere Poort was not in the original city plans, but is rather a result of revised urban planning in accordance to Almere's more recent development plans assuming much higher target population and more prominent role as a satellite urban centre to Amsterdam.
Netherlands Fortress Museum
The Netherlands Fortress Museum (Nederlands Vestingmuseum) is located in the city of Naarden, in The Netherlands. The Museum was established in 1955 in the Turfpoort Bastion, one of the six bastions that give the walled city its distinctive star shape. (During World War II, allied bombers returning to Great Britain from bombing missions used it as a marker. ) The fortifications themselves, including the bastions, date to the period 1675-1685.
