Oosterpark Stadion

Oosterpark Stadion was the stadium of football club FC Groningen until December 2005. The all-seater stadium in Groningen's Oosterpark neighbourhood was inaugurated on September 30, 1933, and renovated in 1960, 1984 and 1987/88. The stadium has been replaced by the new, larger Euroborg stadium, and the ground it occupied is being redeveloped. The stadium's peak capacity was 22,000 spectators (in 1985). At the time of the demolition, the capacity was 11,224.

Euroborg

Euroborg is the stadium of football club FC Groningen, with a capacity of 22,329 seats and located to the south-east of Groningen. The stadium site houses a casino, movie theater, school, supermarket, and a fitness centre. A temporary railway station at the Euroborg Stadium opened in late 2007, and a permanent one is set to open in 2013. The stadium's seats are completely clad in the club's colors of green and white, with 1,000 seats available for supporters of the away team.

Ems-Occidental is the name of a département of the First French Empire in the present Netherlands and Germany. It is named after the river Ems. Martinikerk (Groningen)

The Martinikerk is the oldest church in Groningen, The Netherlands. The church and its associated tower are named after Saint Martin of Tours (316–397), the patron saint of the Archbishopric of Utrecht to which Groningen belongs. The church has been a cathedral for a short period during the first bishopric of Groningen (1559–1594). The origins of the Martinikerk are a cruciform church built in the 13th century, which was extended in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Martinitoren

The Martinitoren (Martini Tower) is the highest church steeple in the city of Groningen, The Netherlands. The tower is located at the north-eastern corner of the Grote Markt (Main Market Square), is part of the Martinikerk (Martini Church). The tower contains a brick spiral staircase consisting of 260 steps, and the carillon within the tower contains 62 bells. It is considered one of the main tourist attractions of Groningen and offers a view over the city and surrounding area.

Groninger Forum

The Groninger Forum is a project that is beginning in the city of Groningen, the Netherlands, with a planned completion in 2016. The east side of Groningen's Grote Markt was destroyed in World War II, and was replaced with buildings that have long since lost their appeal. Broerkerk

The Broerkerk in Groningen, The Netherlands was a Medieval church connected to the Franciscan cloister in Groningen. The church was situated in the Broerstraat in Groningen. The Broerkerk was the first church in the town used by the Protestants. In 1702 Arp Schnitger built an organ for the Broerekerk in Groningen. For the organ he used pipe-work from the previous instrument built by Hendrick Hermans van Loon in 1679. In 1815 the organ was moved by J.W.

Le Mérinos d'Or

Rôtisserie Le Mérinos d'Or is a former restaurant located in Groningen, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1985-1991. In 1977, the restaurant was owned by mr. Fr. Graaiman. Geerhard Slenema bought the restaurant, at that time a bistro, in 1978 and turned it slowly into a fine dining-restaurant. Le Mérinos d'Or joined the Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise in 1986.

Muller (restaurant)

Muller is a restaurant located in Groningen, in the Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that is awarded one Michelin star in the period 1997-2012. GaultMillau did not award any points, due to the recent change of course but kept the restaurant in the Guide. Muller was founded in 1991 by Frank Verbeek and Jacques Muller. They hired Jean-Michel Hengge, formerly of Les Quatre Saisons, to do the cooking. In 1992 he bought the restaurant.
