Bedum
Bedum is a municipality and a town in the northeastern Netherlands. Populated by around 10,000 (2005) inhabitants, Bedum is one of the larger of Groningen's several satellite towns. Bedum is the site of three supermarkets, several pubs, and a leaning church tower, dubbed "the leaning tower of Bedum". Footballer Arjen Robben was born in Bedum (23 January 1984). Bedum has a railway station - Bedum railway station.
Oosterpark Stadion
Oosterpark Stadion was the stadium of football club FC Groningen until December 2005. The all-seater stadium in Groningen's Oosterpark neighbourhood was inaugurated on September 30, 1933, and renovated in 1960, 1984 and 1987/88. The stadium has been replaced by the new, larger Euroborg stadium, and the ground it occupied is being redeveloped. The stadium's peak capacity was 22,000 spectators (in 1985). At the time of the demolition, the capacity was 11,224.

H.N. Werkman College is a Dutch High School in the city of Groningen. The school is named after the Dutch artist, typographer and printer Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman. The school is divided over four buildings: Centrum, Dalton, Kluiverboom and Vinkenstraat. In 2006 the school had 1352 students and 130 employees. The current rector of the H.N. Werkmancollege is C. Japenga. The school offers the streams vmbo-tl, havo and vwo. It also has a Technasium department.
Lewenborg
Lewenborg is a green suburb in the east of the city of Groningen in the Netherlands. It had 8,800 residents as of 2008. Its construction began in 1971. The heart of Lewenborg consists of the shopping mall and the community center, Het Dok. All of Lewenborg's street names are references to nautical terms. Even the institutions and schools in this neighbourhood carry nautical names.
