Lycée Aline Mayrisch
The Lycée Aline Mayrisch is a high school in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. It is located on Campus Geesseknäppchen, along with several other educational institutions, most of which, including the Lycée Aline Mayrisch, is in the quarter of Hollerich, in the south-west of the city. It is named after Aline Mayrisch: a famous women's rights campaigner, socialite, and philanthropist, President of the Luxembourgian Red Cross, and wife of industrialist Émile Mayrisch.
Luxembourg plateau
The Luxembourg plateau is a large Early Jurassic sandstone plateau in south-central Luxembourg. Lying mostly between 300 metres and 400 metres, it is the dominant part of the Gutland region. The mid-Alzette runs through the Luxembourg plateau, whilst the Black Ernz, White Ernz, Mamer, and Syre also have their sources on the Luxembourg plateau. The highest point is in the Grünewald, at 437 metres . In terms of land use, the plateau is a patchwork of forests and farmland.

Hollerich is a quarter in south-western Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. In 2001, the quarter had a population of 5,569 people. Hollerich railway station is located on Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois Line 70, which connects Luxembourg City to the south-west of the country. Hollerich station is only 600 metres to the south-west of the country's main terminus, Luxembourg railway station, and just to the west of a major junction that separates traffic exiting Luxembourg station to the south.

Cessange
Cessange is a quarter in south-western Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. Most of the quarter is covered by open fields to the south-west of Luxembourg City proper. At the centre of the quarter is the Croix de Cessange: a motorway junction between the A4 and the A6. Next to the intersection is Stade Boy Konen, which plays host to Cessange FC, Rugby Club Luxembourg, and the Luxembourg national rugby union team.

Conservatoire de Luxembourg
The Conservatoire de Luxembourg is a conservatoire in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The conservatoire was founded in 1906, after a private donation made possible its establishment, which had been mandated under a Grand Ducal decree issued in 1904. The conservatoire currently has over 2,600 students, from 60 countries, studying over 5,000 courses in total.
Campus Geesseknäppchen
Campus Geesseknäppchen is a campus in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg, that is shared by a number of academic institutions. It is located in the south-west of the city, just to the north of the terminus of the A4 motorway. It is predominantly in the quarter of Hollerich, although the western part lies in Merl. Shaped roughly like a right triangle, the campus measures 800 metres east-west along the hypotenuse, and 520 metres (570 yards) north-south at its maximum.

Hollerich-Bonnevoie
Hollerich-Bonnevoie was the legal name of a part, formally section, of the then-commune of Hollerich, in southern Luxembourg. It covered the neighbourhoods of Hollerich, Bonnevoie, and Gare, which formed the urbanised part of the commune, separated from Luxembourg City by the Pétrusse. City status was conferred upon Hollerich-Bonnevoie on 7 April 1914. The city, with the rest of the commune, merged into Luxembourg City on 26 March 1920, when the city status lapsed.

The Photothèque (officially Photothèque de la Ville de Luxembourg) in Luxembourg City in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg houses several large collections of photographs of the city taken between 1855 and today. Open to the public, it is modelled on the photothèque at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and has adopted the same classification system.
