Orange County is a county in the U.S. state of California. Its county seat is Santa Ana. As of the 2010 census, its population was 3,010,232, making it the third most populous county in California, behind Los Angeles County and San Diego County and the second most populous in the Greater Los Angeles Area after Los Angeles County.
Marine Corps Air Station El Toro
Marine Corps Air Station El Toro was a United States Marine Corps Air Station located near Irvine, California. Before it was decommissioned in 1999, it was the 4,682 acres home of Marine Corps aviation on the West Coast. Designated as a Master Jet Station, its four runways (two of 8,000 feet and two of 10,000 feet) could handle the largest aircraft in the U.S. military inventory. While it was active, all U.S. Presidents in the post-World War II era landed in Air Force One at this airfield.
Orange County Great Park
The Orange County Great Park is the official name of a plan for the public, non-aviation reuse of the decommissioned Marine Corps Air Station El Toro in Irvine, California. The county park will comprise just 28.8% (1,347 acres) of the 4,682 acres total that made up the old MCAS El Toro base. It is a $1.1 billion project approved by the voters of Orange County in 2002.

Pao Fa Temple
Pao Fa Temple is one of the largest Buddhist monasteries and Buddhist temples in the United States. It is located in Irvine, California. It mainly attracts Chinese American and Vietnamese American Buddhists, including many who are students at the University of California, Irvine. The Taiwan-born Venerable Jen-Yi (真一法師) is the founder and abbot of Pao Fa Temple. In 1990 he accepted the advice from the Venerable Master Hsuan Hua of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas to build the temple in Irvine.
Wild Rivers (water park)
Wild Rivers was a water park in Irvine, California. It opened in 1986 on the site of the former Lion Country Safari. Following the expiration of its lease with the The Irvine Company, it closed permanently on September 25, 2011. In July 2012, the Orange County Board of Supervisors approved a 25-year, $30 million lease with Wild Rivers on a parcel of county-owned land in Irvine, located in between the Orange County Great Park and Irvine Transportation Center.
Irvine Spectrum Center
The Irvine Spectrum Center is a large outdoor shopping mall on the south-east edge of Irvine, California, centered on a large Edwards 21 Cinemas movie theater. Built over a 10-year period, the first phase of the mall opened in 1995, with the second phase following soon after in 1998. The third phase was completed in 2002. The fourth and fifth phases were built and completed through 2005 and 2006.
Irvine Valley College
Irvine Valley College (also known as IVC, Irvine Valley) is a community college in Irvine, California and it is a part of the California Community Colleges system. The college inherited its name from the Irvine family and The Irvine Company that were key in the development of the city of Irvine. Opened in 1979 as Saddleback College North Campus, Irvine Valley College received its current name and independent status in July 1985.

Concordia University Irvine is a private liberal arts university located in Irvine, California, United States and affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. It offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in six colleges and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Founded in 1976 as Christ College, Irvine, it had an enrollment of 1,749 students in the 2004–05 academic year. Starting in Fall 2010, they implemented a Core curriculum for underclassmen.

Arnold O. Beckman High School
Arnold O. Beckman High School is a mid-sized public school in Irvine, California, serving grades 9 through 12. The $69-million facility was opened on August 30, 2004. The school was named after Arnold O. Beckman, a scientist, chemist, and philanthropist, and is commonly known as Beckman. The school is in the Tustin Unified School District. In 2007 and again in 2011, the California State Board of Education awarded Beckman High School the status of a California Distinguished School.
Woodbridge, Irvine, California
Woodbridge is a large suburban housing development, begun in 1975 by The Irvine Company, in the central region of Irvine, California. It covers roughly four square miles and has two large man-made lakes at its center. It contains five elementary schools, two middle schools, Lakeside and South Lake, and Woodbridge High School. The Interstate 405 forms its southern boundary. The final developments in Woodbridge were completed by the mid-1990s.
Tustin (Metrolink station)
The Tustin Metrolink Station is a station in Tustin, Orange County, California. The station is located in the shopping plaza at Jamboree Road and Edinger Avenue. Between October 2010 and September 2011, the parking lot was closed to all cars to facilitate the construction of a five-level, 733-space parking structure. When combined with the 91 surface parking spaces, the station has 824 parking spaces, nearly tripling available parking on site. OCTA Routes 70, 90, 472 and 473 serve this station.
