John Thurman Field

John Thurman Field is a stadium in Modesto, California. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Modesto Nuts minor league baseball team of the California League. It was built in 1955 and holds 4,000 people. It was later named for California State Assemblyman John Thurman, from Modesto. There has been talk about making a new stadium around the general area and although the issue remains inconclusive, a decision is expected sometime before 2012.

KEQP-LP was a radio station broadcasting a religious radio format. Formerly licensed to Modesto, California, USA, the station was owned by Calvary Chapel of Modesto, Inc. On September 24, 2012, the Calvary Chapel of Modesto surrendered the license for KEQP-LP to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The FCC cancelled the station's license on October 5, 2012, and deleted its call sign from their database.

Southern Pacific Railroad Depot of Modesto is a railroad depot built in 1915 for the San Joaquin Valley region's Southern Pacific railroad system use. It is in Modesto, Stanislaus County, California. The Mission Revival style depot was restored in 1993 and now functions as the Modesto Transportation Center.

Modesto Arch

The Modesto Arch is a centennial slogan arch, built in 1912, to welcome automobile drivers to Modesto, California where it currently stands at the intersection of 9th and I Streets. The arch bears the city's motto, "Water, Wealth, Contentment, Health", illuminated by 696 incandescent lightbulbs. The original first-place slogan was Nobody's Got Modesto's Goat, which was later rejected, and the second-place slogan was used instead.
