Born in 1885 to a privileged family with an extensive military background, Patton attended the Virginia Military Institute, and later the U.S. Military Academy.

Luxembourg Findel Airport is the main airport in Luxembourg. It is Luxembourg's only international airport and is the only airport in the country with a paved runway. It is located 3.25 NM away from Luxembourg City. The airport is completely international as there are no other commercial airports in the country. In 2011 it handled 1,791,231 million passengers. Waldhof
Waldhof is a hamlet in the commune of Niederanven, in central Luxembourg. As of 2001, the hamlet has a population of 10. It is located in the heart of the Grünewald forest, in which it is the only settlement. Near Waldhof is the intersection between the A7 motorway and the Route d'Echternach. At present, it is the terminus of the southern part of the A7 motorway.
Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial
The Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial is located in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. The cemetery can be found 2.5 kilometers southwest of Findel Airport. It is administered by the American Battle Monuments Commission. Under a US-Luxembourg treaty signed in 1951 the US government was granted free use in perpetuity of the land covered by the cemetery, without taxation. The cemetery, which is 50.5 acres in extent contains the remains of 5,076 American service members.
Utopolis Kirchberg
The Utopolis Kirchberg is a multiplex cinema in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg, owned and operated by the Utopia Group. It is located on the Avenue John Fitzgerald Kennedy in the Kirchberg quarter, in the north-east of the city. With a total capacity of 2,693, spread across ten screens, it is the largest cinema in the country, and was opened in December 1996.
Sandweiler German war cemetery
The Sandweiler German war cemetery is a World War II cemetery in Sandweiler, in southern Luxembourg. It contains the graves of 10,913 German servicemen from the Battle of the Bulge in winter 1944 and spring 1945. Of these, 5,599 were buried by the American war graves service during the war; American casualties were buried at the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial about 1.5 kilometres away in Hamm.
