Bettendorf, Luxembourg
Bettendorf is a commune and town in eastern Luxembourg. It lies along the river Sauer. It is part of the canton of Diekirch, which is part of the district of Diekirch. As of 2001, the town of Bettendorf, which lies in the centre of the commune, has a population of 1,045. Other towns within the commune include Bleesbruck, Gilsdorf and Moestroff. The privately owned Bettendorf Castle dates from 1728 and is built in the Baroque style.
Tandel
Tandel is a commune and village in eastern Luxembourg, in the canton of Vianden. It lies close to the border with Germany. As of 2001, the village of Tandel, which lies in the centre of the commune, has a population of 87. Other villages within the commune include Bastendorf, Bettel, Brandenbourg, Fouhren and Longsdorf. The commune of Tandel was formed on 1 January 2006 from the former communes of Bastendorf and Fouhren (in the canton of Vianden).

Gilsdorf
Gilsdorf is a small town in the commune of Bettendorf, in north-eastern Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 864. It is the town in which Prince Louis of Luxembourg married. While it was an unusual choice of venue for the wedding of a Prince of the ruling Grand Ducal family, it is supposed that its relative isolation from the City of Luxembourg proved to be a favourable factor.

Herrenberg is a hill in the commune of Diekirch, in north-eastern Luxembourg. It is 394 metres tall, and lies between the towns of Diekirch, Bastendorf, and Gilsdorf. It is the site of the Military Training Centre.

Longsdorf is a village in the commune of Tandel, Luxembourg. The hamlet of Marxbierg (or Marxberg) forms part of the village.
Bettendorf Castle
Bettendorf Castle (French: Château de Bettendorf) is located in the village of Bettendorf in eastern Luxembourg. While there appears to have been a castle from the 13th century, today's Baroque building dates from 1728 and was restored in 1962. The castle is privately owned and cannot be visited.
