Bellflower, California

Bellflower is a city in Los Angeles County, California, and is a suburb of Los Angeles. It was incorporated on September 3, 1957. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 76,616, up from 72,878 at the 2000 census. The city derives its name from the bellefleur apple, which was grown in local orchards during the early 1900s.

The Liberal Arts Campus, known as LAC, is located in the residential community of the Lakewood Village section of Long Beach, on Carson Street west of Clark Avenue. The Pacific Coast Campus, known as PCC, is located in central Long Beach, near the city of Signal Hill, on Pacific Coast Highway east of Orange Avenue.

Compton Creek

Compton Creek is a major tributary of the Los Angeles River in and surrounding Compton in Los Angeles County, California. The stream drains a watershed of 42.1 square miles . and is the last major tributary to enter the Los Angeles River before it reaches the Pacific Ocean.
