Älvsjö
Älvsjö is a district of the city of Stockholm Municipality in Sweden, located in the borough Älvsjö in Söderort. It has the biggest rentable facility in northern Europe called Stockholm International Fairs, and also the hotel Rica Talk Hotel, which both are located east of Älvsjö commuter train station. Söderort
Söderort (literally "the southern parts", sometimes translated to South Stockholm) is the southern suburban part of Stockholm Municipality, Sweden. It is also part of the Stockholm urban area. It constitutes the southern suburban area within Stockholm's municipal borders. The main part of Söderort was annexed by the City of Stockholm in 1913.
Brännkyrka
Brännkyrka is a parish in South Stockholm, Sweden. The population as of 2004 is 36,572. Brännkyrka, at that time much larger in area, was amalgamated into the city of Stockholm in 1913. This area now constitutes the southern main part of Stockholm Municipality called Söderort. The original parish has since then been divided into many new parishes and the present Brännkyrka parish is situated around Brännkyrka church in the centre of the area.
Högdalen
Högdalen is a suburban district in South Stockholm, Sweden, built around the metro station with this name on line 19. It was connected to Stockholm City Centre in 1952, a year before the town planning was approved. Högdalen is roughly divided between the residential and commercial areas near the metro station in the centre and the industrial area and landfill further to the east.
Liljeholmen
Liljeholmen is a district in South Stockholm, organized into the borough with the same name. {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:59|18|36|N|18|01|21|E| |primary |name= }} In 1860 Liljeholmen became the first suburb outside Stockholm city limit. The district was as municipal community in Brännkyrka municipality until 1913, when it was incorporated into Stockholm. During the 1912 Summer Olympics, it hosted parts of the cycling and equestrian events.
Hagsätra
Hagsätra is a quarter in Söderort, the southern part of Stockholm Municipality, Sweden. It borders with the quarters of Älvsjö, Örby and Rågsved in Stockholm, as well as Stuvsta in neighboring Huddinge Municipality. Hagsätra covers an area of 420 acres (1.7 km² or 0.66 mi) and has a population of around 7,800. This area previously belonged to Älvsjö gård manor, but was incorporated into the city of Stockholm in 1930.
Stureby
Stureby is a residential area in southern Stockholm, approx. 4 kilometers from Skanstull. The district is bordered on the other by Örby, Örby slott, Bandhagen, Gubbängen, Svedmyra, Gamla Enskede and Årstafältet. The construction of Stureby started in the 1920s and was named after Sten Sture the Younger. The Stureby outdoor metro station was first opened in 1951 but expanded in 1953.
Midsommarkransen
Midsommarkransen is a suburban district of Stockholm with a history from 1775. The underground metro station opened in 1964.
Örby
Örby is a residential area in Söderort, Stockholm Municipality, Sweden. It has an area of 159 hectares and 4,720 inhabitants. Örby got its name from the Örby Manor (Örby slott), as does the neighbouring residential area of Örby slott. Örby was instituted as a so called "municipalsamhälle" (a kind of borough within a rural municipality) within Brännkyrka in 1904. The area was amalgamated with the City of Stockholm in 1913 and the municipalsamhälle was dissolved.
Bandhagen
Bandhagen is a suburban district south of Stockholm with 5417 (2007) inhabitants. It is located in the Enskede-Årsta-Vantör borough neighboring Högdalen, Stureby and Örby. The metro station with the same name was opened in 1954.
Årstabroarna
Årstabroarna (English: The Årsta bridges) are two parallel railway viaducts in central Stockholm, Sweden. Passing over the watercourse of Årstaviken and the islets Årsta holmar, they connect the major island Södermalm to the southern mainland district Årsta.
Stockholm International Fairs
Stockholmsmässan, in English Stockholm International Fairs and Congress Centre, colloquially called Älvsjömässan, is a company that arranges trade fairs in Stockholm. The main building is in Älvsjö – a southern suburb of Stockholm Municipality for which the building got its nickname – and was constructed in 1971. It holds 4 000 people. The facility played host to the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest, Melodifestivalen 1996 and Melodifestivalen 1999.
Gamla Östberga
Gamla Östberga (Old East Hills) is an area of southern Stockholm, Sweden. Östbergastaden (city of East Hills) was built by HSB in 1957-59 as an experimental district with exemptions from parts of the existing construction legislation. The buildings are long 3-4 floor lamellae, as well as three 9 floor point buildings erected to mark the district and the location of central east hills. This district is an early example of modern element construction using concrete, and eternit to some extent.
Liljeholmen metro station
Liljeholmen is a Stockholm metro station in the city’s southern Liljeholmen district. It is on the Red line (T13 and T14). The station also has a cross-platform interchange with the Tvärbanan tramway, and is home to a bus terminal. Liljeholmen metro station is also connected to Nybodadepån, a depot/garage for subway trains and buses, which is located in the south part of Liljeholmen.
Göta highway
Göta highway was the only road between Stockholm and south of Sweden. Dating back at least to the middle ages, and some parts even back to the Viking Age, the highway is the oldest known road from Stockholm to the south. Göta highway lost importance after the year 1670, when the new highway via Hornstull came in use.

Hagsätra metro station
Hagsätra metro station is on the green line of the Stockholm metro, located in Hagsätra, Söderort. It is the end station for line 19. The station was inaugurated on 1 December 1960. The distance to Slussen is 10 km.

Västberga helicopter robbery
The Västberga helicopter robbery occurred on 23 September 2009 at 05:15 CET when a G4S cash service depot was robbed in Västberga in southern Stockholm, Sweden. The robbers used a stolen Bell 206 Jet Ranger as transport and landed on the rooftop of the G4S building. The police were unable to use their own helicopters to pursue the robbers since decoy bombs had been placed close to them.

Örby slott
Örby slott is a residential area in Söderort, Stockholm Municipality, Sweden. It has an area of 67 hectares and 1,603 inhabitants. Örby got its name from the Örby Manor (Örby slott) situated in the area, which also has given name to the neiboughring residential area of Örby. The modern area was created in 1956. The manor Örby slott was built by nobleman Governor Henrik Falkenberg and is nowadays used by the Embassy of Vietnam.
Nyboda Depot
Nyboda Depot is a garage/depot for subway trains and buses of Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL), located in Liljeholmen, Stockholm Municipality, along Hägerstensvägen and under Essingeleden. Nybodadepån is connected with Liljeholmen metro station via a bridge over Hägerstensvägen and a tunnel in the mountain under Nybohov. Nybodadepån started operations for buses and trams in 1945, then called Brännkyrkahallen. 1963–64, it was rebuilt to be adapted for the cars of Stockholm Metro.
