Farsta
Farsta is a district in a borough with the same name in southern Stockholm, see Farsta (borough). It is also a metro station on the Green line. The distance between central Stockholm and Farsta is 8 kilometers.
Söderort
Söderort (literally "the southern parts", sometimes translated to South Stockholm) is the southern suburban part of Stockholm Municipality, Sweden. It is also part of the Stockholm urban area. It constitutes the southern suburban area within Stockholm's municipal borders. The main part of Söderort was annexed by the City of Stockholm in 1913.
Högdalen
Högdalen is a suburban district in South Stockholm, Sweden, built around the metro station with this name on line 19. It was connected to Stockholm City Centre in 1952, a year before the town planning was approved. Högdalen is roughly divided between the residential and commercial areas near the metro station in the centre and the industrial area and landfill further to the east.
Rågsved
Rågsved is a working-class suburb in the south of Stockholm, Sweden. It was built in the 1950–1970s and has had big problems with unemployment, criminality and drug abuse. This has led to the area still having a very low status. Rågsved is most famous for supposedly giving birth to the Swedish punk rock movement in the late 1970s, with Ebba Grön taking the lead.
Stureby
Stureby is a residential area in southern Stockholm, approx. 4 kilometers from Skanstull. The district is bordered on the other by Örby, Örby slott, Bandhagen, Gubbängen, Svedmyra, Gamla Enskede and Årstafältet. The construction of Stureby started in the 1920s and was named after Sten Sture the Younger. The Stureby outdoor metro station was first opened in 1951 but expanded in 1953.
Hökarängen

It neighbours Fagersjö to the west, Farsta to the south, Sköndal to the east and Gubbängen to the north. As of December 31, 2009, the total population of Hökarängen is 8,474. The Hökarängen metro station is located in the district. It was opened on October 1, 1950, as part of the first route of the Stockholm metro, running from Slussen to Hökarängen.

Bandhagen
Bandhagen is a suburban district south of Stockholm with 5417 (2007) inhabitants. It is located in the Enskede-Årsta-Vantör borough neighboring Högdalen, Stureby and Örby. The metro station with the same name was opened in 1954.
Magelungen
Magelungen is one of the biggest lakes in Stockholm, Sweden, located between the municipalities of Stockholm and Huddinge. It is considered as of great recreational value and is popular for bathing, yachting, and fishing in summers, and tour skating in winters. It is bordering two nature reserves: Fagersjöskogen/Farstanäset and Rågsved Open-Air Area.
Magelungsdiket
Magelungsdiket is one of three inflows of Lake Magelungen in southern Stockholm, Sweden. It empties into the lake from north together with Kräppladiket while Djupån reaches the southern end of the lake. Magelungsdiket had a drainage area of 17 km² stretching north to Mälarhöjden until the south-western suburbs of Stockholm were built in the early 1950s and water was guided to Lake Mälaren through stormwater pipes.

Kräppladiket is one of the four inflow rivers of Lake Magelungen in southern Stockholm, Sweden. It empties into the lake in its northern end together with Magelungsdiket and Norrån while Djupån joins the lake on its southern end.
Ågestasjön
Ågestasjön (Swedish for "Lake of Ågesta") is a small lake in Huddinge Municipality south of Stockholm, Sweden. Ågestasjön forms part of the Tyresån Lake System and, with a biodiversity unique in the Stockholm region, is highly popular among birdwatchers and ornithologists. The lake also forms part of the Orlången Nature Reserve and one of the green wedges stretching into central Stockholm. The lakes receives water from Lake Trehörningen and in its northern end empties into Magelungen.
Orlången Nature Reserve
Orlången Nature Reserve is a nature reserve surrounding Lake Orlången in central Huddinge Municipality, south of Stockholm, Sweden. There are four lakes within the reserve: Trehörningen (Sjödalen), Ågestasjön, Orlången, and Mörtsjön. The reserve, founded in 1998, encompasses a total area of 15 square kilometres, of which 12 km² is land dominated by a system of rift valleys characteristic for South Stockholm.

Stureby murder
The Stureby murder occurred on June 6, 2009 when 15 year-old Therese Johansson Rojo (born June 17, 1993) was murdered in Stureby, located outside of Stockholm, Sweden by two schoolmates. The two 16 year-olds, who eventually admitted to murdering Johansson Rojo, were arrested the following day. The girl had managed to get the boy to carry out the murder by SMS text messages, telephone calls and chatroom contact during a period of time leading up to the murder.
