Stockholm University
Stockholm University is a state university in Stockholm, Sweden. It has over 36,000 students at four faculties, making it one of the largest universities in Scandinavia. Swedish Museum of Natural History
The Swedish Museum of Natural History (Swedish: Naturhistoriska riksmuseet, literally, the National Museum of Natural History), in Stockholm, is one of two major museums of natural history in Sweden, the other one being located in Gothenburg. The museum was founded in 1819 by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, but goes back to the collections acquired mostly through donations by the Academy since its foundation in 1739. These collections had first been made available to the public in 1786.
Frescati (Stockholm)
Frescati is a park-like area on the northern outskirts of Stockholm. The name has occasionally been spelled Freskati, e.g. on the name signs at the former Freskati railway station. Originally Frescati was a part of Norra Djurgården (The Northern Royal Game Park) but was granted to the societé for building private villas. The origin of the name is the Villa Frescati, built by the architect Louis Jean Desprez for Gustaf Mauritz Armfelt in 1791-1792.
Bergianska trädgården
The Bergianska trädgården, the Bergian Garden or Hortus Bergianus, is a botanical garden located in the Frescati area on the outskirts of Stockholm, close to the Swedish Museum of Natural History and the main campus of Stockholm University. The director of the garden is known as Professor Bergianus.
Universitetet metro station
Universitetet ("the University") is a Metro station in the Frescati area, close to Stockholm University (Stockholms universitet), and the Museum of Natural History. It was opened on 12 January 1975. Since the 1990s, the art on the station consists of tiles featuring Carl von Linné and the UN Declaration of Universal Human Rights. This artwork is by Belgian and Parisian artist Françoise Schein. The station includes 12 large tiles panels all dedicated to the travels of Linné around the Baltic.
R1 (nuclear reactor)
R1 was the first nuclear reactor of Sweden. It was a research reactor located at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) campus at Valhallavägen in central Stockholm, in the rock beneath the current-day Q buildings. The reactor was active from July 13, 1954 to June 6, 1970. The reactor was dismantled, and there is nothing left of it today; the reactor hall however still exists. The capacity of the reactor was originally 300 kW but was later increased to 1 MW.

Röda Korsets Högskola (or Red Cross University College) is a Swedish university college (högskola) operated by The Red Cross Home Foundation. It is not to be confused with The Red Cross of Sweden. Ålkistan
Ålkistan is the name of a canal, and the surrounding area, north of Stockholm, Sweden. The canal connects Lake Värtan to Lake Brunnsviken, and delimits Bergshamra, the northern part of Solna, from the northern part of Djurgården. The name Ålkistan first appears on a map of Djurgården dated 1649, pointing out Åhlekijstetorpet ("The Eel Hatch Cottage"), Åhlekijstebackan ("The Eel Hatch Hillside") and Åhlekijste wijken ("The Eel Hatch Bay").
Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics
The Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics, or NORDITA (Danish: Nordisk Institut for Teoretisk fysik), is an international organisation for research in theoretical physics. It was established in 1957 by Niels Bohr and the Swedish minister Torsten Gustafsson. NORDITA was originally located in Copenhagen, but moved to Stockholm during autumn 2006. The institute is now located at the AlbaNova University Centre.
Lappkärrsberget
Lappkärrsberget is a residential area in Norra Djurgården in central-eastern Stockholm, Sweden. Located just north of the Stockholm University, it is known for the approximately 2,000 student flats located there. It is known amongst students as Lappis . There is a tradition called Anxiety Scream (Ångestskriket) that takes place in the area every Tuesday at 10pm, where residents open their windows and scream for several minutes.

Laduviken is a lake in Norra Djurgården, a rural area in north-eastern Stockholm, Sweden, forming part of the national city park Ekoparken (Nationalstadsparken). It is one of six lakes in Djurgården, the others being: Lillsjön, Uggleviken, Isbladskärret, Lappkärret, and Spegeldammen.

It is one of six lakes in Djurgården, the others being: Lillsjön, Uggleviken, Isbladskärret, Laduviken, and Spegeldammen. Through its location in the national city park Ekoparken, it is considered as a lake of great recreational value, especially popular among ornithologists and frequently used in classes at the University of Stockholm located nearby.
Spegeldammen
Spegeldammen is a small lake at Norra Djurgården in north-eastern central Stockholm, Sweden. It is one of six lakes in Djurgården, the others being Lillsjön, Uggleviken, Isbladskärret, Laduviken, and Lappkärret. Located in the national city park Ekoparken, Spegeldammen is considered of great recreational value and forms part of a proposed nature reserve. It was created in the early 1980s after a shooting range here was closed and is today leased by an angling club for catch-and-release fishery.
Uggleviken
Uggleviken is a former bay and lake at Norra Djurgården, a rural area in north-eastern central Stockholm, Sweden, forming part of the national city park Ekoparken. Together with Lillsjön, Laduviken, and Storängsbotten, Uggleviken used to be part of a bay forking across Norra Djurgården. Today it is reduced to a marsh or a wet alder forest with patches of reeds in its centre.
Kungliga begravningsplatsen
Kungliga begravningsplatsen (translates as the Royal Cemetery) was first used in 1922 and has been the only official burial place of the Swedish Royal Family since 1950, replacing Riddarholmen Church. It is located on the small island of Karlsborg in the bay of Brunnsviken; the whole cemetery is a part of the popular Haga Park in Solna, Sweden.
Fiskartorpet
Fiskartorpet is a recreational area north of Stockholm, Sweden, in the Djurgården area. It features a small hotel, a conference center, and a number of restaurants. Sporting facilities include an ice hockey rink, a soccer field, and a K-47 ski jump. The owners advertise it as the "world's smallest ski resort".

Experimentalfältet
Experimentalfältet was an area in Frescati in northern Stockholm that was used by the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry from the early 19th Century until the 1960s. In the 1960s its mission was changed, when the new campus of Stockholm University was installed on the fields. The former Roslagsbanan railway station Universitetet used to be called Experimentalfältet but changed its name when the university had been established there.

AlbaNova
AlbaNova University Centre, Stockholm Centre for Physics, Astronomy and Biotechnology is a "research and education initiative run jointly by the Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University. " Currently represented subjects include physics, astronomy, biotechnology, and bioinformatics. The centre hosts the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics (NORDITA), as well as the House of Science, which aims to convey modern research to the public.
Albano (Stockholm)
