Summary

Construction began in 1917, but due to financial constraints and World War I, the project faced delays and was finally completed in 1920.

The chapel's interior features a beautiful mosaic by Swedish artist Einar Forseth, depicting the cycle of life and death.

The Woodland Chapel, designed by Lewerentz, is a more intimate space, nestled among the trees. The chapel's interior is adorned with delicate stained glass windows, designed by Lewerentz himself, which filter soft, colored light into the space.
