Helgalunden
Helgalund, Helgalunden, or Tjurberget, is a neighbourhood on the island Södermalm in Stockholm, Sweden. The picturesque area was designed by architect and city planner Per Olof Hallman, c. 1930. The neighbourhood is located on the hill Tjurberget with parks in the north and south. At the centre of Helgalund is Allhelgonakyrkan, the "Church of all saints," in the grove Helgalunden, from which the area takes its name.
Katarina-Sofia
Katarina-Sofia was a borough (stadsdelsområde) in central Stockholm, named after the two parishes of Katarina and Sofia. Effective January 1, 2007, the borough merged with the borough of Maria-Gamla Stan to form the Södermalm borough. Katarina-Sofia was made up of the eastern half of Södermalm and Hammarby Sjöstad. The population as of 2004 was 42,750 on an area of 3.36 km², which gave a density of 12,723.21/km².
Katarina Church
Katarina kyrka (Church of Catherine) is one of the major churches in central Stockholm, Sweden. The original building was constructed 1656–1695. It has been rebuilt twice after being destroyed by fires, the second time during the 1990s. The Katarina-Sofia borough is named after the parish and the neighbouring parish of Sofia.
SoFo
The area SoFo, or "South of Folkungagatan" is located in Södermalm, a district of Stockholm, Sweden. It is bounded by Folkungagatan street to the north, Ringvägen to the south and in the east and west by Erstagatan and Götgatan, respectively. The name SoFo is a pun on Soho, the districts in London, Manhattan, and Tampa, and is an invention of local entrepreneurs who since 2003 have attempted to re-brand the area as a centre of creative and innovative fashion and retailing.
Stockholm Mosque
Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's Mosque, commonly known as the Stockholm Mosque (Stockholms moské) or the Stockholm Grand Mosque (Stockholms stora moské), is the largest mosque in Stockholm, Sweden. It is located at Kapellgränd 10, adjacent to the small park Björns trädgård, in the Södermalm district of Stockholm. Inaugurated in 2000, the mosque is administered by the Islamic Association in Stockholm.
Saint Eric's Cathedral, Stockholm
Saint Eric's Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Stockholm, Sweden. It is located on Södermalm, the southern part of central Stockholm. It was built in 1892 and was raised to the status of a cathedral in 1953, when the Roman Catholic Diocese of Stockholm was created (still the only one in Sweden).
Nytorget
Nytorget is a square on Södermalm, a district of Stockholm, Sweden. The name roughly translates into "New Square", and for most of the 17th century until the early 20th century, it was a venue for open air markets as well as a locals hangout. It was the location where Jacob Johan Anckarström, the supposed assassin of Gustav III of Sweden was exhibited in wooden shackles so the farmers could throw stones at him before his execution in 1792, which took place in another section of Södermalm.
Medborgarplatsen
Medborgarplatsen (literally Citizen Square) is one of the largest squares in Stockholm. It is located on Södermalm and is often colloquially referred to as "Medis". The square was once called Södra Bantorget (Southern Railway Square), but was changed to Medborgarplatsen in 1940. The square is a common place for demonstrations. On May Day, the Left Party usually start their parade from there, and are accompanied by other smaller leftist and communist parties as they walk to Kungsträdgården.
Skanstull
Skanstull is an area in Södermalm in Stockholm. Skanstull connects the traffic between the inner city and the south parts of Stockholm and its suburbs. Skanstull was originally the city’s southern toll station, but the toll station was removed in 1857. The Skanstull underground metro station was opened in 1950.
Roman Catholic Diocese of Stockholm
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Stockholm is a Roman Catholic ecclesiastical territory in Sweden; its seat is Stockholm. It is the only Roman Catholic diocese established in Sweden since the Protestant Reformation.

Björns trädgård
Björns trädgård ("Björn's Garden"), is a small public park in Södermalm in Stockholm, named after Carl Gustaf Björn, a gardener. His son, Carl Fredrik Björn, known as "Rike Björn" ("Rich Björn"), inherited the garden in the 1880s, and donated the garden to the city in his will upon his death in 1915. The will explicitly said that the park should be a green place for the citizens of Stockholm, and contain a playground for children.

For the theatre in Malmö with the same name, see Södra Teatern, Malmö. Södra Teatern (Southern Theatre) is a theatre, located in the "Söder"-district in Stockholm. It's one of Stockholms most appreciated private theatres. Established in 1859, it's Stockholm's oldest private theatre. It has two restaurants, outdoor terraces and seven stages. “… a palace of entertainment with an intellectual bite”.
Göta Lejon
Göta Lejon is a theatre in Stockholm, Sweden, located in Södermalm. It is especially popular for musical productions. The current (2009) plays are: High School Musical and Buddy - The Buddy Holly Musical. Up until 2008 it was owned by the Swedish musical production company Proscenia, which merged with 3sagas due to financial reasons. 3sagas are the current owner of Göta Lejon and Maximteatern in Stockholm.
Kafé 44
Kafé 44 is a café and concert place on Tjärhovsgatan 46 in Stockholm, Sweden. The café is operated by three non-profit groups that together run the café, Bokhandeln INFO, Dagfiket and Scen 44. INFO is an anarchist bookstore, Dagfiket is the café open during the days and finally Scen 44 is the part that handles concerts and runs the café during concerts. The place is part of the building Kapsylen, an old bottling plant that is cooperately owned.
Söder Torn
Söder Torn is a highrise building at Fatburstrappan 18 by Fatbursparken on Södermalm in Stockholm. The building was originally designed to be 40 floors, but when it was finished in 1997 it was only 86 metres tall and contained 24 floors of flats. Söder Torn is, shared with Skatteskrapan, the tallest residential building in Stockholm. The building was originally designed by Danish architect Henning Larsen, but he left the project in protest of the compromises made during the planning.
Medborgarhuset
Forsgrenska medborgarhuset or colloquially Medborgarhuset (Swedish for "Citizen Building") is a civic hall in Stockholm, Sweden, located on the southern side of Medborgarplatsen, Södermalm. The complex contains a public bath, an auditorium, a local library, a gymnasium, a children's theatre, and several meeting-rooms. The building was thoroughly restored in 1981, and the bath updated in 1988-1989 with the addition of a winter garden.
Slussen metro station
Slussen is a station of the Stockholm metro, located in the district of Södermalm. The station is served by the red and green lines. Originally opened in 1933 as an underground tram stop, in 1950 it became the terminal of the first metro line running south to Hökarängen, it was again rebuilt in 1957 when the line north to Hötorget was opened.
Skanstull metro station
Skanstull metro station is a station on the green line of the Stockholm metro, located in Södermalm, central Stockholm. The station was originally an underground tram-stop from 1933 called Ringvägen but became a stop on the first metro line on 1 October 1950 after it was remodelled to full metro standard. Medborgarplatsen metro station
Medborgarplatsen metro station is a station on the green line of the Stockholm metro, located by Medborgarplatsen in Södermalm, central Stockholm. The station began as an underground tram-stop in 1933 but became part of the first metro on 1 October 1950 when the line from Slussen south to Hökarängen, was opened. The distance to Slussen is 0.6 km.
Den gröne Jägaren
Den gröne Jägaren (meaning "The Green Hunter") is a pub and restaurant at Götgatan 64 in Södermalm, Stockholm. Sweden. It began at a small tavern in the 1600s at Sankt Paulsgatan, near Van der Nootska Palace. It is said that Jacob Johan Anckarström ate his dinner at the Den gröne Jägaren on March 16, 1792 before he went to the Gustavian Opera House to shoot the king Gustav III. Today's restaurant is located on the ground floor of Hellgrenska Palace and was built in 1866.
Sankt Paulsgatan
Sankt Paulsgatan (St. Paul Street) is a street of Södermalm, Stockholm, Sweden. The street leads east-west from Götgatan to Torkel Knutssonsgatan, parallel to the Hornsgatan which is approximately 770 feet long. In 1647 the street was first referred to as Sancti Påwels gathun. It is unclear where the name came from, but possibly the Maria Magdalena Church, which is close by, giving rise to the name of the street. The Methodist St.
Boulevardteatern
Boulevardteatern (Boulevard Theatre) is a theatre, located on Götgatan 73 in Södermalm, Stockholm. Boulevardteatern was started in 1984 by Tidningsteatern. It opened on 10 January 1985 with the play Teaterterroristerna, directed by Michael Segerström, and the plays since the opening are among Revisorn, Den girige and Onkel Vanja. In 2002 Autumn the radio program Clownen luktar bensin was broadcast from Boulevardteatern. In 2010 the theatre's chief Roger Westberg started a drama school.

Stadsgården
Stadsgården commonly refers to the wharf on the shore of the Baltic Sea in Stockholm, Sweden, located between Slussen in the west and Masthamnen in the east. The word gård in the name comes from skeppsgård, which was a word used in archaic Swedish for an area used for port and dock operations.
