Burgumer Mar
The Burgumer Mar is a lake near the town of Burgum in the Dutch province of Friesland. The lake was formed during the last ice age. It is a popular water sports area with multiple yacht harbours. The Princess Margriet Canal splits the lake into a northern and southern part. Since March 15, 2007 the West Frisian name Burgumer Mar is the official name; before that date the Dutch name was the official one). The villages Jistrum, Eastermar and Sumar together with Burgum border the lake.

The village has a yacht harbour that is connected with lake and lies on the Zevenwoudenpad. The local soccer club of the village is VV Jistrum, the club is playing in a green shirt with vertical white stripes, white shorts and green socks. It was founded in 1949 and the soccer field is located on the Fjildwei.

Skûlenboarch is a hamlet in Tytsjerksteradiel in the province Friesland of the Netherlands. The hamlet lies south of Jistrum, every house north of Princess Margriet Canal falls officially under Jistrum. The houses south of the canal are officially part of Eastermar. A bridge connects the two halves of Skûlenboarch with each other. The Joost Wiersmawei(road) connects the hamlet with Jistrum and a cycling path connects the yacht harbour with Skûlenboarch.

The Protestant church of Jistrum or Saint Peter's church is a medieval religious building in Jistrum, Friesland, Netherlands. It is a well preserved and complete 13th century Romanesque church built of red brick, located in the center of the village on Schoolstraat 2. The church is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 35645.
Former Protestant church of Eastermar
The former Protestant church of Eastermar was a church that stood in It Heechsân, Eastermar, Netherlands. It was demolished in 1868. Today only the medieval tower from the 13th century remains. The church is located far out of the center of the village on the Torenlaan 11 and is surrounded by a graveyard. Next to the tower stands a grave diggers building. The mechanical clockwork in the tower was made by the Gebr. van Bergen from Midwolda, Groningen in 1924.
