Drogeham
Drogeham is a small town of about 1,600 inhabitants in the Dutch province of Friesland. It is in a rural area of the municipality of Achtkarspelen. Agriculture still plays an important part in the town, but small-scale industry is on the increase. Many people have their jobs in nearby larger towns like Drachten, Surhuisterveen, and Leeuwarden. The most common language is still West Frisian although there are more and more people coming to Drogeham who have Dutch as their mother-language.

Boelenslaan has 1186 inhabitants and is named from its founder Mr. Boelens, after whom it was named. "Laan" - avenue; the road through the village used to be a sandy road and is still bearing the name Boelenswei ("wei" being the West Frisian word for "road".

The Protestant church of Drogeham or Saint Nicholas church is a church in Drogeham, Netherlands. The current church was built in 1876 on the site of an older church build in the 13th century. The church is built against the 13th century tower of the old church and on top of the tower it is a gable roof.
