Battle of Pente Pigadia
The Battle of Pente Pigadia or Battle of Beshpinar (Greek: Μάχη των Πέντε Πηγαδιών, Turkish: Beşpınar Muharebesi) was fought during the First Balkan War between the Ottomans and the Kingdom of Greece. The Epirus sector was of a secondary nature to the Greek High Command, which was focused on the operations of the "Army of Thessaly" under Crown prince Constantine towards Macedonia and Thessaloniki.
Smyrtia
Smyrtia, is a small village of about 50 people, in the municipal unit of Lakka Souliou. It belongs to the municipality of Dodoni in northern Greece. It is situated between two main towns of the area Derviziana (Δερβίζιανα) and Elafos (Έλαφος). Its name in Greek is a plant, Myrtia.
Skiadas
Skiadas is a small mountain village in the Preveza regional unit in north-western Greece. It is part of the Louros municipal unit. It is built upon the mountain Baldenezi, at 500 meters above the sea level. Skiadas took that name because according to the Greek mythology the Greek God of the dead, Hades, would sometimes come out of his underworld (which its supposed entrance is only a few miles away from Skiadas at the nearby Serziana village) to seek for some daily light.

1912–1913 War Museum
1912–1913 War Museum (Emin Agha Inn) is a museum in Ioannina, Greece. The establishment was used as headquarters during the Balkan Wars. In 1950 the establishments were renovated and the museum was founded. The exhibition includes many paintings, armors, swords, guns and many other objects.
Pente Pigadia
Pente Pigadia is a settlement in the municipal unit of Filippiada in the northern part of the Preveza regional unit in Greece. It is part of the community of Kleisoura. Pente Pigadia is situated in the western foothills of the Xirovouni mountains, about 25 km north of Arta. Pente Pigadia was under Ottoman rule until the First Balkan War (1912–1913). On 21 October 1912 the Battle of Pente Pigadia took place here.
University of Ioannina
The University of Ioannina is a university lying in the plains 5 km southwest of Ioannina, Greece. The campus is linked to the town by Greek National Road 5. It now hosts over 20,000 students in 17 faculties (2006). The university was founded in 1964, as a department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and became a university at 1970. There is a medical school that performs research and provides doctors to the local University Hospital.
Petrovouni, Ioannina
Petrovouni is a village in the municipal unit of Tzoumerka, Greece. It is situated on a mountainside of the Athamanika mountains, above the left bank of the river Arachthos, at 1,030 m elevation. It is 3 km north of Chouliarades, 9 km west of Syrrako and 17 km southeast of Ioannina. Its population is 119 people (2001 census).
Louros (river)
The Louros is a river in the Epirus region, in northwestern Greece. It emerges from the ground in a large spring located immediately north of the village of Vouliasta, in Ioannina regional unit. It flows south through a canyon, and then a dam followed by a hydroelectric power station. The Louros flows past town of Filippiada, forming the boundary between Arta regional unit and Preveza regional unit.
Katsikas
Katsikas is the largest village of the municipal unit Pamvotida, in the Ioannina regional unit, Epirus, northern Greece. Its population is 2,566. It was recognized in the community after the liberation of Ioannina six years later on August 7, 1919. But the village he became and from older times. The first people came and built the village around 1400, from villages of the Souli because they exile from the village elders of the Souli villages.
